“Good prices tempted me, but I did not get the battery. After 4 days, I called them... 'we don't have the battery'. 10 days later, still no refund 😕”

“These people are very misleading about their service - don’t be duped in to thinking you’ll get next day delivery!! Mine took 4 days, which was unacceptable as a carer who relies on car for very frail family member. Quite honestly, now wish had just bought the 1 off the aa van, at least would have been mobile again and saved a lot of stress. Very very poor and unhelpful when phoned to chase too.”

“Steer well clear of this company - gave me a hard time & unnecessary hassle with my battery order and caused a great deal of inconvenience did not once respond to my messages or emails or offer apology had to open dispute with PayPal & my bank card provider had to wait a week before getting refund in the meantime had to pay for and order a battery elsewhere before getting refund " The Battery Rip Off Guys " would be a more appropriate name for this incompetent business.. not even worth having to give one star just to be able to post this”

“I ordered a battery from them beginning of April, before the shutdown, Despite a note on the order explaining the type of battery, connections etc, they sent the wrong one, I emailed them several times, no response til June With a lame excuse about their email setup, I have returned the battery to them as requested, asking to send the right one at my own cost Have heard nothing from them since 9th June, no battery, no refund, nothing I realise with the current situation things are difficult, however no excuses for not at least replying to the emails I really don't know what to say other than DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES I've waited this long to do a review to give them a chance to get it sorted out But enough is enough I will have to find another means of getting my money back via PayPal”

“Prompt delivery, which was good. Unfortunately, the battery I received was not the battery I order. I now have a battery I cannot use, which costs less than the one I paid for. I have sent customer services a message but have not received a reply yet (presuming because it’s been a weekend) but will be phoning them soon enough to arrange for either my money back or for them to collect this wrong battery and give me the right battery that I paid for.”

“Placed an order for next day delivery on the 8th. still waiting on 12th. Rang them yesterday and they promised to get back to me - they didn't. Rang today and have been position 1 in the queue for about 40 minutes (has cut me off twice)”

“The battery was packed extremely badly and when it arrived the package was damaged, the battery was cracked and it was leaking fluid. This could be dangerous. Not impressed. I have rejected the battery and asked for a refund.”

“No rating. No battery received. I will write a review when you bother to send it. Was advised delivery 1st April. Parcel force advise it hasn’t even been dispatched. Have been trying to ring but no answer. Have left a message but no reply. One very unhappy customer You only got 1 star as can’t proceed without it”

“Buying a battery here was a waste of money. Buying cheap is buying expensive, is the moral of this story. The battery was completely dead after a few weeks. When I enquired as to the warranty, I was pointed to the company's terms and conditions. In there, it said, a car battery could be completely flat when not used for a couple of weeks. Now this is news to me, as many people leave their cars at airports when going on holiday abroad, only to find the car starts upon their return. So I'm sorry, I won't be told horse droppings are figs. In addition, in order for The Battery Guys to 'test' the faulty battery, I have to fork out more money to courier the battery to them, and again to get it back. A warranty that requires the consumer to part with more money in order to rely on the warranty, is not much of a guarantee to me. Avoid - the £15 you save by buying a battery online isn't worth it. Get one from your local dealer, or Halfords, so you can walk in there with the battery if it proves to be sub-standard or faulty.”

Good morning Marius, I am sorry you feel like your experience with The Battery Guys has been below your expectations. The advice on the website is correct in that leaving the car for an extended period of time can cause the battery to discharge. However, this is more common on an older battery than a brand new one, so I would suggest that this could be an issue with the battery and would be liable for a replacement under warranty should the battery be returned to us.

Good morning, We are very sorry that you have had this experience, we are certain that your battery was despatched in the box as you would expect. We have checked our stock and everything seems to be in order. We suspect that the battery has been stolen during transit and the box taped up again as if nothing had happened. Should that be the case, the box you received will be packaged differently than how we despatched. As discussed over the phone, could you please email over a photograph of the box as you received it. “I ordered a battery at noon on 31 December and requested (and paid for) "guaranteed next working day" delivery. The battery actually reached me yesterday, a full week after it had been ordered.”

Hi Alan, We are sorry that we were unable to deliver the battery quicker on this occasion. As mentioned on our homepage at the time, we were not doing any deliveries during the 1st week of January due to the Christmas/new year period.
