“Great price and efficient service. Also the shop is just around the corner from the Help Refugees charity warehouse meaning you can easily make a donation to a good cause at the same time as collecting your wine.”

“Very helpful staff when dealing with enquiries and also received a call a week before collecting wine to say one of our selection was no longer available. Suitable alternatives were given which prevented any delay when we pick the wine up. Top service.”

“Very helpful staff, easy website to negotiate. I always pre order and it's there awaiting collection on my arrival. Take sterling for the best prices. It's close to Eurotunnel and just a bit further if you travel by Ferry. All the staff speak English and the prices are superb. Lots of wine available to taste. Keep an eye on their website for travel offers.”

“We always enjoy our visit to your Wine Superstore. We feel we have really good relationships with your Staff now as we visit so regularly. We always find the staff very helpful, friendly and courteous. We get really good value for money and always manage to avail of the Channel Tunnel Crossing which is so efficient and fast. We love the way we can preorder on line and you have our order all ready for pickup when we arrive. Orders are always accurate. The only fault we have is we have had several bottles of your Jacobs Creek Sparkling Wine corked, with a bad odour which we couldn't drink. We will be returning some of these with us to you on our next visit for replacements. Keep up the good work. Almost full marks and we will keep coming. Gretta and Brian Kavanagh.”

“I've been taking advantage of the free ferry short breaks twice each year for at least the last 10 years, & combine the wine buying with explorations of France & Belgium. Picking & collecting the wine on the return at Calais works really well for me. The ability to taste before deciding to buy (or not) is great -means you never get disappointed with your bottles! Often the staff will go to the trouble of opening a taster bottle - even if it is not "on taste". Can't fault the setup at all - it is a pleasure dealing with them, as well as enjoying great wine at cut-price back in blighty.”

“I've been going to Calais Wine for several years now and they have always been very efficient and helpful. Obviously some times you find a wine you like (and at a very good price) but it is not necessarily available on your next visit. It is unfortunate but that is a consequence of such good bargains, however there is always something else to replace it which the Tasting Room can help you find!”

“Intelligent, well-informed English (& French!) speaking staff. Good store layout. Excellent parking and access to store. Deals galore. "Free" travel promotions. Savings pay for a "day out" in Calais. Only complaint is I can't persuade them to stock fizzy Read wine. Sum up. I feel sorry for nearby Majestic Wine who do virtually no business, because of CWSS. CWSS is almost (but NOT quite) a good enough reason to vote to "Remain" (as I assume Brexit will result in Mr Nasty Osborne cancelling the "Booze Cruise"). Cheers - Paul”

“The website is very to easy to navigate around, we have placed 3 or 4 orders over the last couple of years and have been very happy to continue going back. One thing that was a minor let down this time was that once we had placed our order on line and booked the crossing we got there to find that some of the wines had increased in price but we were not informed of this and if your paying in cash and calculate your value before hand potentially you may not have taken enough currency to cover your order.”
