“We had to postpone our visit due to car problems, Calais Wine moved our tunnel crossing and saved our order. When we were able to go, they re-organised the trip and even supplied the order at the original cost, despite there being rises in some of the prices. They couldn't have been more helpful and we will certainly be returning.”

“Its always fun going to Calais Wine Superstore. Its great being able to taste wine before buying. The staff are amazingly helpful and very informative regarding different wines. Some of my Bracken Hill Sauvignon blanc doesn't taste right but I cant fault Calais wine store for saying bring them back. Unfortunately there may not be much left. I have kept a bottle which didn't taste right and I am going to check it with a bottle from one that is good to see if there is a code on the bottle which is different. Its strange because the last time I bought Bracken Hill every bottle was good.”

“We have used Calais Wine Superstore for many years now, mainly twice a year!! Ordering on the website is so simple and there is a fantastic range of wines from throughout the world! We also use the Eurotunnel offer and again you only have to provide your preferred dates and the team organise the rest for you. Once you arrive at the store your order is ready for collection. The team are always friendly and helpful, and we will continue to use the great service you provide.”

“Calais has lots of wine stores but for value, this is my favourite. Always lots of offers, mostly in the cheaper end of the range, but even some of the more expensive wines are at highly competitive prices. It's my regular "go to" place in Calais for VFM wines and I've been going there since it rose Phoenix-like from the ashes of Calais Oddbins.”

“We saw an advert on-line for a free ferry crossing with The Calais Wine Superstore if we committed to spending £250 in the store on wine etc. We decided to go for it and found the system quick and easy to use. We received an e-mail telling us to ring P&O Ferries who were very efficient and again, it was easy to do. When we came to the ferry terminal, the system automatically recognised our car number plate which was great. On arrival at The Calais Wine Superstore, the team were very helpful and efficient. The wine was all priced up in English Pounds Sterling as well as Euro's which we found helpful. There was a separate room where you could taste any wine for purchase and the bottles were clearly marked with the prices - again, we found this very helpful. Everyone spoke perfect English - and when I made a specific enquiry about whether they stocked Vouvray - they knew from memory exactly which region of France this came from and exactly where the bottles could be located! I was very impressed. When we finished shopping and paid, we were given a voucher for a free case of wine if we returned and spent £100 (which we did). Overall, our experience was very good - and we will definitely return in the future. (We had some time to kill whilst we were in Calais, so we visited a different wine superstore which was very inferior, quite dirty and with no staff around to help. We were glad that we had chosen the Calais Wine Superstore for our major purchase. Just one small point - we got a bit lost trying to find the place, even with the SatNav. Perhaps you could consider a few more road signs).”

“We have been shopping at Calais Wine for quite a few years now and it is great. I pre-order and sometimes have only given them 48 hours notice, but it is always stacked up and waiting on the trolley when we arrive. I really appreciated them phoning me before our last visit, as I had not told them which day I wanted to collect. The staff are all incredible, extremely helpful and they all speak good English. We love the new tasting area. We never shop anywhere else and have no intention of doing so. Well done Calais wine.”

“Shopping at the Calais wine superstore is always a wonderful experience! The most amazing choice of wines at unbelievable prices. Pre-ordering on-line is very easy. CWS booked my channel tunnel tickets, so no hassle. CWS is easy to find when you arrive in Calais and very close to the tunnel or ferry terminal. My order was waiting for me on a trolley, ready to load into the car but the tasting room is always worth visiting so you can choose some more wine while there. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and speak English. Overall, a nice day out and saved a fortune. Highly recommended.”

“The Calais Wine Store offers a terrific choice of wines at (from the British point of view) terrific prices. If I lived nearer Dover, I'd do ALL my wine buying there ( I have to add about £50 in petrol money there and back from Warwickshire). You can either go in and select what you want, or you can pre-order and they'll have it ready for collection when you arrive. If you buy in sufficient quantity, they'll pay for your ferry fare there and back. What's NOT to like about them? I just wish they stocked cognac and armagnac too!”
