“They took time to recommend. I picked up some great French, Portuguese and Italian red wine which will see me through the winter. Bought my favourite Botter Prosecco too.?”

“Had an amazing experience visiting the Calais Wine store this weekend. Took advantage of the free crossing offer and was amazed at how easy if was to arrange. As always, great selection of wines and they had my favorite.”

“Recently visited calais wine and was threatened by what seemed to be so called asylum seekers, having seen them climb into the back of a truck whos owner was in the store they became aggresive when i looked at them to see what they were doing. Would suggest calais wine provide security as i am sure it is illegal to take a baseball bat with you for protection.”

“I come here 2 to times a year to stock up on wine but this was the first time I pre ordered online and used the free shuttle service because I spent over £300.My order was ready when I arrived to put straight in my car and the service was excellent.”

“Very helpful staff! Accommodate in anyway they can... Informative friendly and effecient service. I would highly recommend! And the eurotunnell included when u spend £250 is a nice touch cheers!!!!!”

“Giving those stars only that staff was very kind and free travel . But we were very disappointed with wine choices, the shop sells mostly very cheap rubbish wine . We found only few wines we like .. so we struggled to spend £250 !! So went back to Carrefour in Cite Europe and spend £600 more for wines in there as it has big arrangement of wines and good prices”

“We have been regular customers ever since our first visit nearly 5 years ago. This week your website told us that one of our favourite wines was sold out, but one of your always helpful staff checked and found the new delivery for us. Our only complaint is that it encourages us to drink more than we should!”

“I have used Calais Wines a lot. Dead easy to get train paid for. pre order and get back to eurotunnel in 45 mins. Quality- generally good to excellent - occasionally you get a dud but you save so much on the rest its still a no-brainer. Just save it for a punch! Fizzy shows excellent savings. I go to Champagne for champagne. I pitch my purchases at £8-£10 per bottle UK prices and save 50%”

“Great store, made even better by fantastic staff - namely JORDAN. There is nothing this young man doesn’t know about wines, he is eloquent, kind and generous of his time. I hope the CEO reads some of these reviews and remunerates the staff that go way and beyond their job spec to look after loyal customers. 10/10”

“Great place to buy wine. Have done most of the big supermarkets but Calais Wine is the best first rate wine at bin end prices and a free overnight Euro-tunnel ride thrown in. I drink a lot of wine and would not shop any were else in France. Plus staff are knowledgeable and help full you don't get that at a supermarket. 10/10”

“Used them lots of time in the past and thought we’d have a big order (£700+ ) this side of Christmas. Ordered weeks in advance but on arrival found that 60 bottles of one wine ( the main one we came over for) was missing from the order. A quick, I’m sorry you should have had a phone call was the extent of the resolution. Clearly stock had not been allocated to us on ordering. Not happy and would not have travelled over had we known.”

“We have used this store for quite a few years now and this is the first time I have had anything negative to say. The web site was out of date in that they stated that Abbot ale was not in stock, but there was plenty on the shelf. Also I took a completed order out to the car, on a trolley and a box of wine fell off - not very well loaded. Other than that great service at good prices. We will be back.”
