“Very friendly and helpful staff, great selection at big savings on UK prices and to cap it all they paid for my Eurotunnel crossing. Wish all shopping was as good as this. Many thanks to all the staff and thanks for your note Maryline!”

“Very helpful staff, great choice of wines at good prices. Would have been 5 stars but they did not have our order ready as my email was not forwarded to them. They did however get it ready within half an hour. While waiting we purchased some further wine.”

“I couldn't agree more with all the positive reviews. We love France and we love Calais Wine so let's hope the politicians come to their senses! We've been visiting Calais Wine since before they moved to the current location. Always fun to try some new wines (if the wine tasting area isn't jam packed as it was last time - for obvious reasons). Everything runs extremely smoothly - free crossing, pre-order and collection. We are always tempted to buy more than we order of course. 5* in my opinion. One request would be to have a few "better" wines on tasting. See you in France soon - we hope!”

“Order that was placed online all ready but time to look around and try and look for more wines. Massive savings and brilliant staff. Nothing too much trouble. Will never go anywhere else. Using an English Cheque makes it all so easy. Excellent”

“Just completed another highly successful trip to Calais Wine Superstore. As usual, plenty of wine to try and choose from and with CWS arranging transport what more could you want! Staff continue to be helpful and friendly so another tick in the box. Will be back again before the dreaded "B" day - just to make sure stocks don't run out!”

“We visited Calais Wine Superstore recently. As usual they paid for our Eurotunnel crossing, I had a credit note from them on an email for some white wine we had a problem with which was honoured without question. We were also given freebies for our spend. Came home very happy with our haul that we were able to taste before buying. Hope very much to be able to continue these trips but who knows?”

“We've been going to Calais Wine twice a year for a good number of years now, first on day trips with Eurotunnel but more recently taking advantage of the overnight stays (only an hour from Bruges, can certainly recommend you doing that the next time you travel over). All Eurotunnel costs paid for by Calais Wine, which is a nice touch. Struggling to recall whether we've ever bought a bad or disappointing red wine - whites are a little less reliable, or more a matter of taste, which is where the free tasting provided comes in handy. Nothing like trying it out before you load a box or two onto the groaning trolley. We tend to make up an order for research purposes before we travel, and put it together once we arrive rather than have the order waiting for us, because there is usually something else that catches our eye in the store. Staff are friendly and non-pushy, CWS is easy enough to find off the main A16 road. What's not to like? See you in 6 months... Brexit nightmare permitting, of course.”

“Great service as usual. I’ve been on a few of these trips recently. Just before each Brexit deadline. Good selection of wines. Could do with some Crémant de Limoux though. Subtle hint there. Hope the country comes to it’s senses and I can do it again.”

“When we first arrived at Calais Wine Superstore I was a little bit concerned. It was so busy! However, the brilliant assistant, Holly really took us under her wing. She spent a considerable amount of time trying to help us choose our wedding drinks. She gave fantastic advice, ensuring that we found some 'good all rounders' rather than just getting the wine we liked. She helped advise on the number of glasses per bottle you could expect. She was very patient as we tried to narrow down a white wine - I only really drink red so I found it really challenging to say what kind of wine I liked! My only criticism is that I think there should be some water on hand. I didn't know whether I could drink the tap water until Holly became available to ask. It was also really busy at first and Holly couldn't help us until the crowds had cleared. It'd be worth having another member of staff on hand during that peek hour or so. Ultimately we really enjoyed our Calais trip and if we are able to go again then we will be using Calais Wine Superstore!”

“Just back from our third visit this year; another £700 or so saved on Uk prices. Still lots of wines to choose from, even with Brexit looming. Really helpful staff who even helped load our purchases into our van.”

“Another brilliant visit, pre ordered so wine waiting for us on arrival. Excellent selection of wines at much lower prices than in the UK. We have been visiting around 4 times of year for many years now. All staff are friendly and helpful. Travel booked free! What more could one need! Just praying there is some hope that we can continue to visit after Brexit. 😢Time will tell....”
