“Great place to get good quality vino at a absolute bargain price and better still you can try most before you buy (so make sure you get somebody else to drive :)) The staff are always super happy and helpful, see you again soon!”

“An excellent range of wines. Plenty of chance to taste before buying. Real quality staff to help in selection and guidance to restaurants in Calais that have every time been first class. I always come at least once a year and never buy wine in England. With free crossings what more can I ask for. Well done Tony Neal”

“Calais Wine takes all the hassle out purchase good quality wine. I have just returned from my third trip and their prices and travel offers ensure that I will be making a 4th. Although the designated driver I am assured by my friends that the tasting room is a welcome addition and takes the risk out of buying.”

“We have been taking advantage of the free Eurotunnel trip for a couple of years. We have always had our choice of dates and travel times - so far!. We like to browse and pre-order online at home. there is an excellent choice of wine at all price levels. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and we have a look around the store when we go for pick-up- and add a few more items. There are plenty of wines to taste too. All in all we can't recommend the Calais Winestore too highly.”

“This is such an easy way to buy wine from France: 10 minutes or less from the ferry and when you arrive your order is ready and waiting, either for immediate purchase or amendment - after a look around and some wine tasting. You are then on the way spend the rest of your time....so much easier than in years past the slog through the hypermarkets - as well as the shame of joining the alcoholic-brits queue! Oh, and the range and prices are excellent. This really is the way to buy wine!”

“We have been to Calais WIne on numerous occasions over the years and have always found them most helpful. The wines are an excellent price and varied and you are able to taste them in a very smart tasting area. We have recommended them to many of our friends who are now frequent customers. We are just planning our next visit.”

“I don't normally write reviews or recommendations, however due to the consistent excellent service I have received from CWSS I am now very pleased to write a few words regarding their operation. I have been a customer since they first opened and order significant quantities of wine several times a year. Over this period I have found them to be very competitive with their pricing and everybody I have dealt with has been most helpful, flexible, professional and above all courteous. “What more can you ask for. Excellent wines at amazing prices and the ability to taste before purchasing. We visit every 4 months ,ordering on line and using the free travel offers. Service is great and the wine is always there waiting for us to collect. It also allows you plenty of time to visit your favourite shops ie Auchan and Super U and stock up on your favourite French treats before returning home. Would always recommend”

“Everything went like clockwork. My order was prepared and a member of staff checked it off with me. Whilst I was loading the car my companion was able to taste and then buy some uncommon wines. At the check-out when I paid with sterling, the cost of my Eurotunnel crossing was removed from the system. This was my third visit and on every occasion the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful.”
