“I really like my Nerivio, but sometimes I get rebound migraines after the treatment ends. 8 times out of 10 times, the Nerivio relieves my pain, but only while it is on. But, 45 pain free minutes of relief is fantastic for my chronic daily migraines!”

“Although it is difficult to apply the device when an attack occurs, once situated and turned on, I find that the migraine severity quickly diminishes. I like the freedom of being able to do my daily tasks with the device on.”

“It is very easy to use, love how it’s helps with pain and sense using it my pain has improved significantly when having a migraine. I would totally recommend using to friends and family. The app is also super easy to navigate plus the dark theme is nice when you have light sensitivity.”

“The first time was practice, the second time it didn’t help at all. The 3rd time I could tell it was helping but as soon as it was done, my HA was still there. This last time I needed a boost with excedrin. I’m still not sure how these signals are getting to my brain from my arm.”

Thank you for your feedback! This may be useful information for you. This explains Nerivio's Mechanism of Action. Nerivio® is a remote electrical neurostimulator (REN) that works by applying an electrical signal to sensory nerves in the arm to activate one of your body’s natural pain regulation mechanisms called Conditioned Pain Modulation (CPM). The peripheral activation of Aδ and C fibers in the arm sends a signal to pain control centers in the lower brain to release pain inhibiting molecules that inhibit migraine pain signals. The electrical parameters of the Nerivio device are specifically designed to activate sensory fibers. TENS devices have different electrical parameters that activate touch fibers. Because of the difference in electrical parameters, the two devices have different mechanisms of action and are not interchangeable. “I’m in a chronic migraine syndrome , the Nerivio helps a great deal but not completely. I’m not sure how much longer I can afford using the Nerivio but I do love it.”

“It works for headaches and dizziness some of the time. I like using it first before I take medication as it can reduce symptoms sometimes enough so that I don’t need medication. Do wish insurance covered it.”

“There are certain kinds of migraines Nerivio works best for with me and I love that I can put it on and still be somewhat functional. “I think it takes away some of the pressure for a while . I do wish the strap was made better and would close easier when putting bin yourself . The material is uncomfortable. They need to have choices of meditation.”

Thank you for the feedback. This is what we recommend to users for the most effective treatment: 3 Pillars for effective treatment 1. Start treatment early. • For effective results, you should start the treatment as soon as you feel the first symptoms of the migraine attack and within 60 minutes of the migraine symptoms onset (headache and/or aura). 2. Setting Intensity at the start of each treatment • Use the + to increase the intensity until it feels strong yet comfortable and not painful. • We recommend that the intensity level not be changed during the treatment. 3. Treatment Time • For effective results, complete the full 45-minute treatment. Setting Intensity Since each migraine attack is different, there is no one right setting. The intensity should be strong, but never painful, and should be set within the first few minutes of treatment.    The + and – buttons on your phone screen allow you to set the level, and just after you start a treatment, you can repeatedly press the “plus” button to increase intensity until the sensation feels strong but not uncomfortable.  During clinical trials, the most effective treatment was obtained with intensities over 20% and with averages between 25 and 35%. If you do not get to 20%, however, do not worry, as long as it feels strong. Although the intensity may feel as if it gets weaker during treatment; this is normal and is just your body adjusting to the sensation; there is no need to increase the intensity further.
