Thomas Lee Sheets feel different because they are different. They’re thoughtfully made, held to high standards, and sheets that not only feel great, they’re sheets you can feel great about buying.
“I have several sets of Thomas Lee sheets. I purchased this latest fitted sheet to replace one that was oddly small - it never fit correctly despite purportedly being the right size. I am really disappointed in the quality of this new sheet. It is much thinner than the older ones, it is not smooth, and in fact, is a bit scratchy. I have so many Thomas Lee sheets precisely because they were crisp, cool, and smooth. I have enough to last quite some time, but I will be looking at different brands.”
“I started buying Thomas Lee in 2013, the quality of the Sheets was Fantastic the fabric was substantial ( as in a heavier fabric than today ) purchased more sets in 2015 they were also fantastic sheets. The wonderful slick, crisp, cool percale just wonderful!
Then around 2018 I got a set that was scratchy had to send them back.
I bought another set in around 2019-20-21 that I had to send back due to them being scratchy.
I have been trying to purchase sets of sheets from Thomas Lee that would do me the rest of my life ( I am 69 ) so I keep purchasing them hoping to get the quality I fell in love with in 2013. So far that has not happened. The most recent set in Jan 2022 are better the fabric is much thinner then original 2013 sets, the slickness is not there, the crispness is not there like the old ones. The whole feel of the fabric is completely different. I have washed the set about 12 times ( as directed ) while they are not cool, slick and crisp they are not as scratchy as the last sets. They do not feel right though, as you sleep on them they take on the feel of almost a blanket type feel. The fabric is just off!
I think it all has to do with the long-staple cotton that is being used or the quality of cotton the fabric is made from. This company is not the only one having this problem now, there are a lot of them having this issue. I have tried everyone that I can think of and all have to be sent back.
I will keep this set and hope over time the set becomes less fabricky ( for lack of a better word ) and more slick, crisp and cool. I do wish there was a way to replicate the new sets to match the old original set from 2013. I also notice quite a jump in price from 2013.
The company is great to work with. They understand having to send them back. I wish I never had to send them back.

“This is a very difficult review to write. Delivery was super fast, and When I got my sheets I washed them in cold water, and line dried them as I do all my sheets. They fit my mattress perfect, I even had extra room, which is hard to come by these days when you have a thick mattress. They were very comfortable, probably more comfortable than any other sheet I have purchased in the past few years. I alternate between linen, and percale, (high end bedding). However, after having them on my bed only six days, I went to make my bed and straighten out my fitted sheet, and I heard a rip; the corner had come apart, frayed. I was so shocked. I don’t know if I received a defective sheet, but I am returning it obviously. I am still undecided on doing an exchange, or if I should just get a refund. My last 2 sets from another company, I have had for 2 years, and still has held up well, and I even have cheap sheets that I use sometimes in between, and they never ripped. I take good care of my stuff. I even use high-quality laundry detergent, I use the laundress detergent, and regardless, it should not have come apart that soon.
I will say that they are very very comfortable to sleep on, but the stitching is not that great for a sheet that cost $130. I compared the stitching to my other sheets, this sheet doesn’t have tight stitching, the threading seems loose.
However, it could be that my sheet was defective. If it weren’t for this issue, I would give a 5 plus star rating for the comfort, and the sizing, as they feel wonderful to sleep on.”
“I consider myself to be a sheet snob and always buy high end, 100% pima or Egyptian sheets. I had never purchased Thomas Lee sheets so decided to try them. I washed them before putting them on our bed. They are not wrinkle free, but honestly I haven’t found any that are. They are nice, but no nicer than others I have purchased for less money. I will keep them, but won’t buy more. I will keep looking for the best sheets out there.”
“I have bought a number of ivory sheet sets from Thomas Lee in the past 10+ years. I appreciated the original pale soft ivory color, the construction, and fit of the sheets on all beds in our home. However, several sets purchased in the last couple of years are a noticeably different color, and also fit slightly less snug than earlier ones. They now have a yellow hue that I personally find less desirable than the color they always used to be. I do still use the older sets too, as they have lasted very well, but occasionally I've taken out old and new linens only to realize that they don't/won't match once on the bed. Please consider a return to offering the earlier softer, more neutral ivory color.”
“After having three fitted sheets split after repeated washings, I have switched to Brooklinen’s percale, which retains its crackle and its structural integrity through many more, and at about half the price of Thomas Lee.”
