“Don't waste your time entering any of the theatre lotteries on Today Tix! I have been entering the Hamilton lottery for over a year, and received an email today that I had finally won tickets. However, you apparently only have half an hour to buy the tickets once you are notified (and the notification can come anytime between 1pm and 5pm)! I missed the notification while at work and contacted Today Tix as soon as I saw it (which was only an hour after the window closed), but they wouldn't let me buy the tickets.
Their customer service is very hard to contact, and not at all understanding or customer oriented. I was told that "it's important to stay attentive to your phone during the lottery period" - so basically unless you can literally check your email every few minutes all afternoon every Thursday, don't bother entering!
The lottery is essentially a scam. It generates interest in the show, but they've set it up in a way that ensures that very few "winners" actually get to buy tickets. Don't waste your time just to be disappointed - and based on my experience with their customer service, I wouldn't use their app to buy tickets either!”
“The absolute worst experience buying tickets! I NEVER got the tickets. I Never got a call back after waiting an hour on the phone, I NEVER got a response about the tickets by email. NEVER EVER do business with this company.”
“The venue was supposed to email tickets. They never did. I called the Today Tix 800 number multiple times before and after the event. I waited in the call queue (yesterday at position No 1 for example) for over an hour and no one ever picked up. The next time I dialed, I requested a call-back that I never received.”
“This place is an absolute SCAM. DO NOT buy anything from them. They take your money and that's the last you hear from them. They don't answer emails or "chat's" and the don't deliver any tickets. I would have given them NO stars if I could. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!”
“I wasn't bad, it was terrible. I bought a package of six concerts with the South Florida's Symphony, only because it included Haendel's Messiah and Beethoven's Ninth. I attended the first with no problen, but when I went to watch Beethoven's ninth I was two hours before the showtime and my ticket was nowhere to be found, the people at the box office said there was nothing there I lost my money, after the concert c=date I finally got an anwer from Tix saying they were at the Box Office, someone lied and I couldn't get in. I'm really ouraged.”
“Terrible company do not do business I am a senior and a vet and made a simple mistake on line Ordered tix for a play & I thought I was on a Phoenix site and apparently was on Chicago Contacted Todaytix once I got confimration and I was told absolutely NO refund After many emails I get an email w a number that is supposed to be a voucher Well I don't know how to sell it or even use it Todaytix will no longer reply to my requests Please do not use Took advantage of a 72 yr old military vet”
“On September 22nd I bought tickets for me and my husband to a show with Nicole Schenzinger on Monday, November 27th. During the performance, I found out that Nicole would not be on stage. When I bought the tickets there was no mention that Nicole did not perform on Mondays. I also checked the first email you sent me after purchasing the tickets and there is no mention of Nicole not performing on Mondays. I received the email that Nicole was not performing on Monday the day before the date I was supposed to go to the show. The message you put on the ticket is very unclear because when someone doesn't know the names of the actors or characters from the performance how should now that ? I was coming there just to see Nicole. I am very disappointed with this spectacle and very poor information from you. This is cheating people. It should be readily apparent that Nicole Scheringer does not perform performance art on Mondays and that instead of her there is another actress on stage. You should use the word "instead " but of course your are not because you want cheat people. Providing only the name of the actress to replace Nicole is a fraud on your part. This is very unclear information. And how come no one informed me about it when I bought the ticket, only the day before? This is absurd.
Additionally, my husband bought a bottle of Whispering Angel wine before the show, the bottle was left on the bar because we couldn't take it with us. After the first break, we went to the toilet, standing in line for 10 minutes, then we went to the bar because we wanted them to pour us another 2 glasses of wine, it turned out that there was no wine on the bar because it was put on tables in front of the bar where it was full of people who were spilling our wine. This is absurd, how come our wine was served to someone? Now I certainly don't want to see a single show anymore, and above all, I don't want to buy any tickets for Today Tix. I'm very disappointed about this experience.”
“If I could give a Negative Stars for this company, I would! This company is a 3rd party company that does not tell you where your seats are until after you pay, so it is a total roll of the dice what you get. AND there are ZERO REFUNDS (even if you pay for the ticket protection that says you have up til the day of the show to "return your tickets"... but NOT FOR A REFUND!) You get a voucher... which is worthless if you are not going to be in NYC again anytime soon. So, BUYER BEWARE! THIS COMPANY IS S-H-A-D-Y!”
“I had two vouchers from covid show cancellations. They combined the vouchers and used the first voucher date, which was months before the second date. My voucher expired 11 days ago since they used the original voucher date to backdate my combined voucher and now just lost out on $68. I recognize that it was my fault for missing the expiration, but I should’ve had at least three more months to use this. They told me there’s nothing they could do despite very kindly speaking with customer service. Poor service in my opinion. Seems like they purposefully backdated my voucher to give me less time to use it for show cancelations I had no control over. I now live out of state and don’t get to the city as much. I won’t be using them again.”
“It's frustrating that Todaytix has a no refund policy and requires ID for ticket pickup in a tourist city. I accidentally purchased the wrong date on a special order for Broadway tix and a few hours later when I figured out the problem was met with no way! The tickets are for next week and I'll already have flown home. Not only did I not get to use the tix but I can't even give it sell them to a friend living here in the city. Super frustrating.”
“Horrible ticket selling agency Today Tix. I bought 3 tickets for front balcony section and ended up with the last row in the balcony section which is NOT the price I PAID for and tried to contact the customer service with no feedback! Today Tix emailed the official tickets 12 hours before the show time and the tickets are usually the left over ones SO you are better off buying tickets from other ticket sellers or directly from Ticketmaster (at least you know where your seats are) and honestly, the prices are no big difference!!!! I Deleted my account right away! First experience and also last one!!”
“They sell by sections in a theatre, but due to their business model, there are times where they will provide you tickets to a completely different section. This is MISLEADING at the very least. And yes, customer service will argue that the ticket price paid equates to the seats provided blah blah.
We don't care. Bottomline is we pay for a specific SECTION in the theater. You're required to provide us any seat WITHIN that section and nothing else. Give a refund otherwise. Common sense. It's not the customer's fault if you made a mistake in pricing.
I'm dying to see how TodayTix will respond to this. There are similar complaints here which they conveniently ignore. Deceitful practices.”
“Got covid and they refused to refund or exchange.
So if you have covid, TodayTix really want you to go anyway and infect everyone.
And if you're at a show and someone is coughing, they probably have covid because TodayTix desperately wanted them to go and infect everyone.”
“Horrible experience - bought two tickets from "TodayTix" finding out they weren't for "Today." They told me their address was confidential - 64 Wooster St, New York, NY 10012.
Bottom line - deceptive company with horrible customer service. Avoid like the plague!”
