“I went to Toni & Guy in Canary Wharf with three friends before a wedding, and I left extremely disappointed. At first, things seemed fine we were welcomed, had quick shampoos, and were even offered a massage. But when it came to the blow-dry, I asked for wavy, curly hair. The stylist showed me two options, and I chose the curlier one. Instead of giving me the style I wanted, she straightened my hair first, pulling so hard it was actually painful.
The worst part was that within just one hour of leaving the salon, my hair was completely straight again and the same happened to all of my friends. We had each paid £60, expecting a professional blow-dry that would last, especially for such an important occasion. It was a complete letdown and absolutely not worth the money.”

“Harish cheated me of 1000s of rupees .no effect of his treatment on my hair .
I wasted half my salary to get zero results
He is fraud and corrupt person. Managers arrogant rude and dismissive .”
“I went for a Botox treatment and clearly asked to have my hair trimmed only to waist length. Unfortunately, it was cut much shorter, over 10 cm was taken off. The straightening process also felt very rough and uncomfortable.
A week earlier, I had come in for an eyebrow trimming. At that time, I was told the cost would be 8.4k, but on my next visit, I was charged 12k, with the explanation that the offer had ended. It was surprising that the price changed within just a few days.”
“I began my training at Toni & Guy Stockholm in 2022 with high hopes, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. I was promised the opportunity to grow and develop as a hairstylist, but instead, I was mostly used as an assistant without receiving the proper training or support I had been told I would get. The work environment was discouraging, and I rarely received feedback — making it nearly impossible to improve or stay motivated.
After two and a half years of dedication, I made the difficult decision to leave because it was clear I wasn’t progressing. Just two months later, the salon shut down due to financial issues — confirming what I had already sensed: they had no real intention of investing in my future. Looking back, I believe they knew the salon was closing long before it happened, but they kept that information from me to continue using my labor. They didn’t give me a chance to plan ahead or seek other opportunities. That silence was not only unfair — it was deeply disrespectful.
Even after I left, I contacted the Toni & Guy head office in the UK to share what happened and express my concerns. They completely ignored my message. No response. No acknowledgment. That silence spoke volumes — it showed me once again how little the company values its trainees and staff. It made me feel like I was completely disposable.
Now, after giving years of my time and energy, I’m left in a difficult position: I didn’t receive the education I was promised and still lack the qualifications I need to fully pursue a hairstyling career. I’m deeply disappointed, but I’m also determined to speak up so that others don’t go through the same thing.
To anyone considering starting their education at Toni & Guy: please think twice. Be cautious. Ask detailed questions during your interview — about training structure, feedback, support, and long-term opportunities. Don’t be fooled by their polished image or charming marketing promises. What sounds appealing at first can turn out to be something very different behind the scenes.
I hope future trainees are treated with the honesty, guidance, and respect that I never received — and that Toni & Guy takes real responsibility for how it treats the people who invest their time and dreams into this brand.”
“Had a great experience at Toni & Guy! The haircut turned out just how I wanted. Special thanks to Shivani di for her kind assistance throughout the process — she was really helpful, polite, and made sure everything went smoothly. Her support truly added to the comfort of the whole experience.”
“Sateesha is so amazing. I've had blonde foils my whole life and wanted a change and we ended up doing a darker toner and face framing foils and I'm so in love. Such an intuitive hairdresser. Highly recommend.”
“My mother and I had a hair cut at Y block DHA branch. Both the stylists were amazing. My mother had her from Maham and Farri (senior stylist) did mine. Both did a fantastic job. Great experience.”
