“Cashback works most of the times, until it doesn’t. And that’s when it gets frustrating. Average wait time is 3 months. My 2* review is for one particular transaction.. Topcashback’s own Broadband comparison. I signed up with Virgin through their New comparison tool as it promised £199 cashback! Completed the transaction in Feb, it’s December. I have got in touch with the team multiple times and they keep saying 3 months. Their response today was disappointing:
Although you went through TopCashback to select your broadband, TopCashback do not review and validate the cashback claims for the purchases. These are reviewed by the broadband retailers third party network and as such this means we are highly reliant on their network providing us with a resolution to pass over to you. Until they provide us with this, we are not able to provide you with any further updates.
I can certainly understand your frustration that it is taken longer than expected. However we do have a dedicated transactions team who actively try to gain genuine resolutions for all claims submitted and they are chasing this up a monthly basis in the background for you, which they last did in November.”
“I have recently joined TopCashback after being with Quidco for several years and I am very disappointed with them. Several purchases, involving cashback of over £100, have failed to track smoothly and I have found their customer service unhelpful and somewhat arrogant. By contrast, I have had very little trouble with Quidco cashback and their customer service is friendly and efficient.”
