“When we had to deal with the challenging scenario of emigrating, having sold all our cars but traveling at the weekend, Traffic were a delight to deal with - flexible, helpful and very good value.”

“It seems that unlimited mileage is not what it says,Traffic recalled my vehicle because I had done too many miles. I asked where there was a fair use clause in t’s&c’s and was told “I can write it in if you want?” When I asked further Paul said that he needn’t put a fair use clause in as “he would just not hire to me if he wanted and what could I do?” He was rude and not very pleasant, beware all is not what it seems at Traffic.. We could have had a conversation and a compromise regarding rates but Paul chose to be very stroppy indeed! My advice would be that if you hire a commercial vehicle from Traffic - think again !”

“I booked a long wheel base van online and found it very easy to use the website and make the booking. On arrival the team were incredibly helpful and dealt with me very quickly. The vehicle itself was very clean and well presented and was a pleasure to drive. When I need another vehicle I will definitely be coming back to Traffic Self Drive. Thank you very much.”

“Can not recommend these guys enough rang in need of vehicle for weekend as my car failed mot and couldn’t be done until Monday dropped a lovely vehicle to me within the hour have used before and will never use anyone else customer service is always polite helpful and friendly highly recommend”

“I rarely have to use hire cars however whenever I do, I just contact Traffic Hire. Super responsive service, competitive prices, and modern cars in great condition. Paul, in the office, was super helpful and the guys picking up and dropping off cars were great. And super flexible. As an example I booked and renewed my car online via the website then email. Ideal when you are in an open office and you don't want everyone to know your business. It is such an easy company to deal with, no customer friction anywhere and they are local, local, local!. Not one of these so called global giants. I can see why they are rated at 98% recommended, it should be 100%!”

“Have been using traffic self Drive for some years now. A really friendly team of staff. Paul always gets back to you with any enquiry vey quickly. They run a meet and greet service which is excellent. Cars are well maintained, reliable and clean. Loving the new Volvo.!! “Based in St Albans, Traffic Self Drive was one of my husbands best finds. TSD meet and greet you at the airport. They are always welcoming, friendly and patient. Paul is always responsive and accommodating with Bookings and their fleet of cars are always clean and well serviced. New Volvo X40 is lovely:) Thanks Paul! They have a great Small team of loyal staff. All are pleasant and personable. Highly recommend Traffic Self Drive. If you want quality service, and good cars this is the company to use.”

“Very rude call from customer service to say that my order has been cancelled. The website does not mention any time restriction. But customer service was forcing me to accept a time of their own liking. He just put the phone down while I was still talking to him. Not recommended at all”

“I have used this company twice over the past ten years and I can honestly say that they are the best car hire company I have ever used on three continents. Everyone we dealt with in the company was helpful and went out of their way to make sure our trip and hire of the car went smoothly. Being picked up at the Radlett train station when coming from London was an added bonus that few car hire companies in Australia would offer. I always recommend Traffic self drive and hope to use them again next year.”

“From my very first enquiry to eventually returning the car, the service was five star. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful and although I had booked a car for a week, l was able to return it sooner and received an unexpected refund the same day. The car itself was perfect, spotlessly clean, delivered and collected promptly. I would certainly recommend Traffic.”

“Traffic offered a great, personal service. They came to meet me with the car at the place I was staying and then met me again at Heathrow departures (so no extra hassle returning the car to a rental location, and a very welcome time-saver for an early flight). Would use again.”

“I needed to hire a car fairly quickly to get up to my dad who was suddenly put on end of life care. And I can't begin to express my gratitude to this company, they were so helpful and accommodating, and prices are so reasonable, and when I needed to extend my hire, it was just a phone call and it was done. I would highly recommend them, the car I got was in perfect condition, and everything was explained to me. Fantastic hassle free car hire.”

“We found this car rental company as we surfed through the UK rental car companies. Were very anxious to bypass the established companies, we had enough of them over the years. Could not believe our good fortunate when we discovered Traffic. The Kia Ceed is an excellent car and the Sat Nav was unbelievable , able to detect congestion and plan another route. Totally agree with the previous outstanding reviews. But you will never, never, know unless you give Traffic a go. Dorothy and John. Retired Aussies on a UK passport.”

“We arrived at Tilbury in March 2018 and were met by David who drove us to the office in St Albans where our hire car was ready. We returned the car 3 months later and David delivered us safely to Southampton to catch our ship back home. That is the second time I have used Traffic Self Drive as dealing with Paul is ‘hassle free’, and driving with David is a pleasure, as he is a good driver plus a very affable man. I have no hesitation in recommending them as their service is exemplary. Hugh – retired Australia”
