“I just booked a consultation and women I talked to was like you need to do it immediately just pay us this huge sum for evaluation first and then we will decide whether or not you are eligible. She did not listen to me even once about what I want. She spoke like a scammer and above that she was mocking me by saying “Aoooh you seriously need to ask for your parents aproooval” as if she wish to say “you can’t make your own decisions” all I said was that my parents are sponsoring me and I will consult them first before choosing my consultant. I was charged £1,800 ($3500+) just to have my information put forward to the Australian government; I later found out that this was something I could have done myself within a short space of time for a fraction of the amount.. as someone who doesn’t have an abundance of money and has had to work hard to save everything that I have, to lose such a large amount for no reason is horrible - I wish I had this information before, but just use the Australian government website directly!! I am disgusted and still trying to fight this as I believe they have taken advantage of a young person who doesn’t fully understand what she was signing up and and actually the costs involved. I have asked for it to be escalated and want to speak complain to someone higher up the chain but apparently the board have reviewed her case several times and the resolution remains the same!
