Where do I start with this company, I have had nothing but problems with utilita from the smart meter not working to customer support it's all horrendous! Was on the phone for a emergency they had Me on hold for one hour they processed to answer and hang up on me! Leaving a pregnant woman in a freezing cold house with no gas or electric on! The prices they charge for electricity and gas is ludicrous, do not be fooled by the "no standing charge" as they charge up to 2x the price of there competitors.

Was extortionate before the energy price rise , struggling even more now to run my house and keep my family. Im on prepayment and it's like feeding a donkey strawberries . No help offered . Cannot wait to be able to switch supplier!!!

Dreadful can't handle customer services I've been trying to pay for my energy since moving in in March 22 No one has managed to sort problem with numerous calls,no response to letters even with recorded delivery ask to email certain member of staff no reply.This company is hopeless customer service the worse I've encountered.My advice not to use them

Remained parked up for an hour plus; as clear he was going to take his time to get to next job! Despite many, many phone calls, 4 emails and letter sent by recorded delivery, still gas meter not sorted, still receiving demands for payment for period that did not own property.

Actually I never deal with rubbish company like this, I been waiting for my refund money over 3 months, I called every 2 days waiting over 1h30 lies and lies saying u will get the money in 10 days, waste of time

This company is a disgrace. We changed supplier on the 1st Dec 2023, we have spent all morning trying to get a refund of over £900. We had a final bill but we are now being told that we need to get our new supplier to send the readings even though they were on their final bill. We keep getting passed from different depts then get cut off. Please AVOID at all costs Still NOT got our refund

1 star rating is just pushing it in my book if you ask me! I was referred by a friend as I was told that the electric would be alot cheaper than most providers. I thought lovely it’s saving me more than what I’m paying at the moment! Wrong!… My current provider explained to me that even their standard rate is 3 times more than what I’m currently paying at the moment. And then I would have to pay for this and for that. I had a bad feeling about swapping over to Utilita but ignored my gut feeling. Then my provider put me in touch with Utilita their end to see if I wanted to still proceed with Utilita or stay with who I’m currently with. I finally got through to someone after 45 minutes and when I did the thing on the other end didn’t really care what I had to say but then got arsey when I said I didn’t want to change over to them. Her attitude stunk big time. She then referred me to a different department which I just thought they could cancel my switch there and then clearly not. I was on hold for over an hour and a half no music no nothing it was like no one was on the other end of the phone. I thought I would do more research on the reviews for Utilita and I’m so glad I did! So friggin glad? Reading these reviews with my jaw hitting the floor with this company and how they are actually still in business flabbergasts’s me. I just can’t believe that they have put people through this and still having the cheek to take their money but for their neighbours too by reading the wrong meters how is that even possible! I really do hope these people get back what’s owed to them what Utilita have taken. I have 3 children and 1 of them suffers with bad eczema which requires her to bath twice everyday. Reading these comments saying they haven’t had no hot water for days I would want to drag the owner of the place through a bush backward by his/her hair and the customer service! Thank god I eventually stuck to my current provider! Stay away from Utilita no go!

Giving utilita a 1 star is being polite. The customer service is atrocious. All they do is repeat the same thing and do not resolve the issue. The waiting time to get answered is ridiculous I’ve once waited over a hour just to be told to be more patient with them. I’m glad I left and joined another energy company. Avoid utilita at all cost!
