Truely terrible customer service. The fact that I am taking the time to write a review speaks volumes. Currently on hold for 1hr and 14 and now have to wait another 27 minutes to be put through to the correct person. Call centre staff are useless and keep putting me on hold while they look stuff up.... can't help but think they get paid by length of each call because they drag them out so much.

ABSOLUTLEY SHOCKING they lie from the start of setting you up. They take more money even when you haven't used that amount on energy, they promise a cash back card which I'm still waiting for after 4 months, they promise £50 cash back if you install a smart meter then tell you they are too busy to install one and haven't an engineer in the area Cumbria. They have taken more out of my bank without consent and will not reduce over the phone even though I am not using that amount unbelievable would not recommend they are full of false promises

Awful company Messed my bill up in June and admitted to giving me the wrong bill. Now September and still messed up bills I either have bills with no amount owed on or bills of £500. Says pre may meant meter on my bill for electric when I have credit meters Energy ombudsman is now involved AVOID this company

UW - would be giving them 0 stars if I could. Worst company ever, on hold for over 2 hours, been trying to contact them about an overcharged bill from July to August, cant get through to anyone and can if you can you get passed from pillar to post without any help. I am glad I moved to Octopus in August just to get away from them but they have sent me bailiff letters for the money I owe them. Ended up going to energy advice Scotland as I cant contact anyone by phone and the email I am getting all say the same thing, no one is trying to sort this out. Energy advice Scotland have asked UW to put a hold on the bailiff letters as this is under investigation and asked them send me a deadlock letter, no response as yet!!! This case will be referred to the Energy Ombudsman if it is not resolved. AVOID UW AT ALL COSTS, unless you really want the stress.

Topped up my meter 4 days ago. Still not showing. Emailed twice. This happens all the time. This company is probably the worse company for service I have ever dealt with. My advice, don't touch them absolutely useless

Your service and the way I have been treated is disgusting, I have to open complaint with yourself that have been ongoing since April , I have had no contact apart from when I have had to call and wait an hour on the line , and then to be told my Complaint is closed, as vulnerable customer you have showed lack of empathy and understanding and still 5 months down the line my complaint has not been resolved , and closed without my knowledge , I have consistently had to repeat myself over and over to your colleagues who have no consideration, and with the situation being so stressful without having to repeat myself time after time , your staff are more concerned about finishing their shift at 8 o clock on time , I have never ever had a worse experience that’s with UW and will never ever recommend you to anyone , absolutely disgusting and I am going to your regulators one you eventually send me final response , please no one go with this company , worst company I have ever dealt with!!! I have literally been in tears after speaking to them

6 months I've been waiting to have smart meters put in so I can switch to monthly billing from pre payment which was in place when I moved into the property, you continually cancelled the appointments at the last minute, and now you're demanding a £200 deposit. No one mentioned that for the last 6 months I've been trying to get you to sort this out. Not one time. So I either have to pay more for my gas and electricity supply, or give you £200. That's extortion, and I absolutely will not put up with it.

Ripped off £180 for a weeks energy threatened with legal action if I didn’t pay within seven days company run by dimwits call centre keeps you on hold for ages not very good at problem solving when to actually get to speak to a dimwit your then transferred to another dimwit after an hour on the phone without problem being solved had to take paracetamol and had to lay down I rather have my teeth pulled out without anaesthetic than deal with this company avoid these jerks

Please don't sign up, specifically for energy. We have smart gas and electric meter and they always send estimated bill. Last month they send £533.08 bill eventhough we have set up monthly DD. Raised complaint they agreed to review the bill but unresolve this matter. Promised they will send Deadlock letter in 2 week when spoke with them on 14.07.22 but letter yet. Big Nooooo

Worse company I have ever dealt with. Poor communication, staff that is not well trained. Overcharge me and when you sign up you need to pay deposit. Now they don't acknowledge that they need to refund me my deposit as well as overcharge on account

Really bad at what they say they will do, still waiting for cash back card that they promised 2 months ago can't get the £50 deal and smart meter that was originally offered and customer services's no help. It took 2 months to get the whole company to set the DD up and three meter readings LATER. Very unorganised company I can't see this company lasting.

Unfortunately my poor elderly mother is with UW, we are trying to submit meter readings and reduce the budget payments from £250 a month on a one bedroom flat, without consulting her they increase them ! I have now been sat on the phone nearly 2 hours waiting for them to answer, it is very poor they expect their customers to sit and wait to get through, UW does not look after its customers and definitely do look after the elderly from my experience. Steer clear of this company unless you are prepared to sit wait hours to talk to anyone and are bored.

TERRIBLE COMPANY - USE AS A LAST RESORT. been sent an email chasing to payment of a bill - they cannot seem to cope with more than one business account number for direct debit so I always have to phone up to sort out a payment - just waited for 1 hour 36 mins to speak to someone and still no answer .. appalling ....

The worse company ever! horrible customer service. they were supposed to get the supplier over from the 5th of July as e new tenant! they haven't Yet. I've been calling them a few times a week, and I was waiting in line for up to 2 hours, and just transfer me to different departments without any clue what was going on. I canceled all services with them. Need to urgently improve all systems and ways to work with clients.

This company have promised to contact me, they haven’t, they told me they have sent me a private message, they haven’t. My husband and me have been on hold for hours trying to get through. They are incompetent liars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY….
