“Can I leave a zero instead of one star review? Andando was the worst tour company ever for helping with my bucket list trip. not one but two ships cancelled and the 2nd one was while I was in the middle of the Amazon!! and to top it all off Hugh knew about it a week beforehand and did not reach out. He only reached out by a EMAIL-not even a phone call A complete week later!!! I was literally on my morning excursion in the middle of the Amazon and found out he and Andando failed at the only job they had... to make a happy repeating customer. and in all my trip was delayed TWO FULL DAYS!!!! and to top it off, i paid for a single cabin with him at the Sacha Lodge and he submitted it to Sacha as a twin room!!!!!!!! VERY POOR AT HIS JOB AND I WILL MAKE SURE I CAN LET EVEYONE KNOW ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA FORMS I CAN. THE LACK OF COMMUNCATION WAS A JOKE!!!!”

“Multiple false claims in their marketing materials. Claim they operate without an engine and on sails only -- this is absolutely false. In fact on the 6 day trip the sails went up only twice (and not all the sails as they don't have them) -- once for 2 hours and a second time for 4 hours. The rest of the time the boat was on fuel and the motor was only turned off in anchorage. NONE of the staff speak English (not even the captain!), so anytime you need something you need to find the guide. I know this as I tried to print something out with the captain and his printer and short of pantomime, he had no idea what I needed. Food is a mixed bag -- chef trained in meat preparation, so if you love meat, you will love the food -- if you are vegetarian like me, expect lots of fake meat meals as the chef only knows vegan, not vegetarian. My room was in the crew side of the boat (stern), while all the other passengers were in the bow --bizarre. Based on all the false claims (all the photos show the ship with it's sails up which is completely false), I cannot recommend the Mary Anne.”

“We began dealing with Hugh from Andandotours in Feb 2020 - a month before the covid pandemic hit the world. We had put down a significant deposit for a family trip for 13 people to travel to the Galapagos and Amazon for Xmas 2020 - which did not happen. Our deposit was held by them to be used for Xmas 2021 and in the early fall we began making plans with the hopes the pandemic would not again cancel us out. It did not and everything that was meticulously planned by us and Hugh at Andandotours was perfect. Hugh went the extra mile with every single question we asked - and there were many - with no question being too small or unimportant to make this trip perfect. He continued through our holiday while he was on holidays when a couple of changes needed to be made. He aided in helping us select our Galapagos boat and Amazon lodge and their logistics in helping with covid tests, airport transfers, Quito hotels was invaluable. Hugh is an excellent travel agent and guide and would highly recommend his expertise.”

“Horrible company. Do not book with them. I booked a trip for October 2021 for Galápagos Islands. They took my deposit of $1410.00. Now they just told me the trip was canceled (no real explanation just that it was because the boat was undergoing “maintenance”) after I just days before confirmed where I should fly into and purchased my airline tickets. I requested a refund of my deposit and they claim they will get it back to me in 2022 - which was not in the agreement or fine print anywhere. Now I arguing with them to return my money”

“Andando Tours and their highly esteemed representative , Hugh Yarbrough were exceedingly capable and carefully arranged all aspects of our tour to the last detail. Their guides were top rated local experts, charming thoughtful and very helpful. Their choice of hotels was excellent and transportation arrangements between islands was an exciting part of the experience. My wife and I recommend this company highly for your first or 100th visit to these exquisite islands.”

“I worked with Hugh who was very professional and prompt with providing information and answering questions. What he said we'd get is just what we got. We booked on the Sea Star Journey which was a lovely boat, great food, great staff. We didn't see as much wildlife as I'd hoped - but the rest of the trip was great.”

“I recently traveled to the Napo Wildlife Center and took various tours in the Quito vicinity. I could not have been more pleased with the tours themselves, but also with the care Andando provided. I asked them to put together an itinerary for me, a solo traveler, that was upscale but provided a great deal of adventure. The Amazon was amazing, and I actually climbed to 16,000 feet at Cotopaxi, finishing up my adventure soaking in the pools at Termas Papallactas! Fantastic! Hugh Yarborough was the lead agent who put everything together, keeping me in the loop via email. Everything went off without a hitch! Thanks so much for your help in putting together one of the best vacations I've ever been on!”

“We were 100% happy with the cruise on the SS Mary Anne booked through your agent. There was only one part of the plan that did not work. We were advised that a representative from the SS mary anne would meet us at Santa Cruz Wharton to collect our luggage and this did not happen.We had to keep this with us and travel to the Tortoise Ranch with bags. As we are confident, independent travellers this did not bother us, however, some customers may have been stressed by this happening. I know this is a small thing but it does help to have things smooth at the start of a trip to get off to a trusting start. Forgetting that, the trip was amazing, the ship crew wonderfula and we are busting to return and do another trip in this wonderful place. We would definitely use the same ship and agent Glenda and Bronwyn”

“- My wife Trix and I were aboard The Passion for eight days and I spent the evenings reading the books in your library. - Needless to say, Sylvia's words and pictures captivated me. - Thank you for giving me an insight into the beauty of the Galapagos. As I said to the captain and the crew. "The Galapagos is the last canary in the last coal-mine. If the Galapagos dies, civilization dies".”
