They carefully reviewed every detail, communicated clearly and consistently, and made sure I understood each step before moving forward. Their professionalism was matched by genuine empathy, which made a tremendous difference during such a stressful time. “VW Credit is a nightmare if not more than that. I leased a car with them. They charged me around $189 more than my monthly payment without providing break-up or reason for the extra charge. There call center has no clue. Asked me to send my complain to a fax number, which I did many times only to get a response that they could not reach me over phone suggesting to call their call center again. They never called me. I reached the call center again, and they suggested to send fax again, and the loop went on. Later on, I wanted to buyout the lease to get rid of VW credit horror. I wanted to take loan from another service, the VW just refused to cooperate and blocked access to my account and sending all my requested document there which I could not access. I called their call center many times, requesting to send my documents via email as I cannot access my account either via app or web. They insisted to get it in my account without supporting to access the account. Finally I pay them the money but it is more than a month, they did not return my documents or did not even acknowledge that they have received my payment. VW credit is a complete DISASTER.”
“I did an extended Warrantee on our VW Crafter VAN, paid over £1000.00 taken by VW Van Center Totton. I asked for a VAT invoice. It never came.
I called VW Finance to be told that as I have no details about the policy they cant help me, I explained I don't have anything as I have not received anything!
VW Totton also called them to sort this out, the team could no understand why a simple task was made so difficult by this team in Portsmouth. It took around 10+ emails to sort and 3 calls! I would not recommend this company and to look else where.”
“Unbelievably incompetent. Great cars .Once you start an agreement, whatever you do dont change banks. Despite giving them 4 weeks notice ,and receiving an acknowledgement from them, they didnt take my DD. I paid a few days later by switch when i saw the DD hadn't been claimed. I then had threatening letters about if I didnt pay up I'd get a black mark on my credit file. I complained and got redress after 10 weeks. I paid the car off 3 months early and had a zero balance. I have been hounded and threatened for 'missed payments 'and threatened with claims recovery. My credit score was affected.Needless to say I have another complaint that 10 weeks on they have not even bothered to investigate and have signposted me to the ombudsman. They will blame Covid, but my first trouble with them was November.”
