Once more a poor meal. Roast chicken, medium sized. Cooked this in the oven, warmed thoroughly beforehand (checked by oven thermometer). At recommended 40 minutes vegetables swimming in water, potatoes not cooked. Another 10 minutes possibly improved the potatoes but not a lot. Very small piece of chicken in ultra-thin gravy. I counted the sprouts easily - just seven but so small they could be used as ear dots. I wonder if their current TV advertising is of value. The pity is that delivery is prompt, friendly and accurate. However, Customer Service on the phone is a total misnomer. Deflective, fails to resolve anything. Sorry, I'm out. Much better meals at a fraction of the price in supermarkets

This is the third time I have placed an order for food for a friend for Christmas and each time there has been a problem which, regardless of the food itself, has left a bad taste in the mouth! On the first occasion my credit card was not only used for the order I placed but I was then charged for orders my friend made at a later date. My credit card details should not have been retained to be used a second time and I believe this amounted to fraud. More recently I paid for some meals for my friend and the price was deducted from the order he had placed resulting in him having to pay for the meals I had bought when they were delivered. Again, what sort of accounting system do they have that permits this sort of error. BEWARE when placing an order for someone else. The Manager says this sort of problem only happens once or twice a year but it shouldn't happen at all. It takes the joy out of buying meals for someone as a gift and also for the person receiving said meals.

I'm writing the same review as I have submitted to another reviews website in the hopes that WFF will start to go back to making the meals like they used to. I've been a customer of Wiltshire Farm Foods for a number of years now and seen the quality of the meals go downhill. I had accepted the 'perks' customers had that gradually disappeared (did they really think we wouldn't notice?); was probably down to inflation etc. However, when you think these type of meals are aimed at elderly and disabled people, the nutritional content and a lack of variety for vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian is not good. As a Pescatarian, trying to purchase a good variety of the meals that are not high in saturated fat and/or sugar is a task all by itself. There are plenty of cheese dishes but that's no good for those of us who want to keep saturated fat down. Furthermore unfortunately, many of the dishes do not cook evenly; in particular ones with potatoes which tend to always be underdone compared to say the peas in the meal that end up overdone. I have on a few occasions given feedback to my local branch about this but it still happens. Nobody wants to have to take the potatoes off the meal seperately and cook them for a longer period of time before adding back to the rest of the meal which in turn has to be gently heated again up to temperature after going cold. I was told a lot of the meals are aimed at those in their late 70s onwards where they like traditional meals. That doesn't mean though they have teeth of iron to eat through the meals; nor should they have little choice of meals due to high saturated fat. When WF get it right it is super, there are a few meals like the ones with salmon in that are lovely. But due to the price hikes which are getting comparable to high end supermarkets and take outs, my orders have become less and less. The staff have been great but because of the amount of meals that have been underdone (I know they are partially cooked already), if I rang to constructively complain every time I had a 'hard' meal, they would think I am doing it deliberately for a refund. That I don't want, I would just like evenly cooked healthy meals, is that too much to ask for?

My mother (who is elderly) gets these meals delivered. The brochures look amazing, so last night I decided to have a break from cooking and I heated up a medium-sized Irish stew. I was very disappointed with a few tiny bits of meat, the bulk of the meal being cheap veg. The only positives were the flavour of the stew was reasonably nice and the meat was tender and easy to chew. In my opinion, the protein and fat content of the meal wasn't adequate enough to be nutritious. I think the meals are very expensive for what you get.

The meals are too expensive for what you get! The mash is cheap to make but you only get a tablespoon of it and as for the beef it’s like playing hunt the thimble and when you do it’s chewy and the vegetables are watery ! The best meals are the soups and puddings are ok

First time customer good service and delivery.Disappointed in quality of some of food Lancashire hotpoint had no meat in it and veg and potatoes are definitely frozen which I could easily prepare myself with half the cost Puddings nice but custard congealed after heating Certainly not value for money

They have good incentive discounts so I gave them anther try with my voucher. There's morning or afternoon deliveries but no slots such as; 3 to 4 etc. as with supermarket deliveries. To be fair this is to be expected Their meals as very small and the larger ones are more expensive. I compared one of their meals with Sainsbury's (same meal) as I wanted to know which of the two was the tastiest. Sainsbury's won hands down. I am sticking to supermarkets on-line frozen and chilled meals. Vary rarely am i disappointed. WFF hot desserts are quite tasty (cheaper than Oakhouse.) Sorry WFF but you will have to up your game to get me to order from you again. Same with Oakhouse and they are even more expensive. I have always added to both companies meals to make them larger and more appetising.

Used to highly regard WFF but since recent company changes and the added pressures and expectations being put on employees who are passionate about serving their customers, many drivers have left which is causing major and unacceptable delivery issues. The cost of meals have increased again but quality is on decline. Sadly I’m looking into an alternative supplier because it appears the new management is not about quality of service but reducing staff to increase the company’s financial gain.

Meals are fair to good. But noticed when there were shortages delivered was not refunded back into the bank via card payed on. Phoned our local Wiltshire farm foods Poole Dorset the woman on the phone said we would only receive a refund if order placed on the phone. I said what if you didn't want to phone in an order. She replied well most people would prefer to speak to someone on the phone. Will be looking to find another company that is better organised in future.

Appalling customer service, never answer the phone if you have a question: which is normally regarding poor delivery. Won't be using them again for sure.

Very tasty food. Reasonably priced.Meat and veg content sufficient but oh dear In both the lamb and beef dishes one had to search for the tiny portions of actual meat. Won’t be ordering again which is a pity because the concept is ideal for a newly widowed elderly man
