They sent me a double order and then refused to pay return shipping on what was sent in error.

I purchased a pool on 5/20/2026. It came on time and was excited about getting it installed. When the pool was installed it was missing the Connector Plate and also has a damaged Top Ledge. I called and talked to a gentleman and he sent me a parts catalog so the parts could be ordered. Why I had to find the parts number and not him I don't know. He is supposed to be the pool specialist. He said he ordered them and I would have them in a week. A week passed and still no connector plate and ledge. I emailed him asking for a shipment date. He was going to check and get back with me. I had to email twice and call again still no answer. So I called to talk to a manager. I'm told by the manager that I needed to take a picture of the box and I also needed to send a copy of the check list. The box was thrown away and never had a checklist. I told her this. So they aren't ordering the parts. So I have a pool that can't get filled with water because the top connector is needed for the pool wall. The manager will not answer me back. So I have a $3100.00 pool package that is just sitting here. Dohoney's doesn't care. They received their money. I guess I need to get a attorney. I will never buy anything from them again. I hope others read this before they buy and get ripped off.

Do not purchase sand filter from here. 2 months old has a leak on a seam. Will not ship new one until they receive old part first. Pool will be green in the 3 weeks time. Summertime. Really. Sorry never again.

I ordered an SR Smith TurboTwister pool slide through Donehy's Pool Supply for approximately $6,000 and only received HALF of the product. The shipment arrived missing the main slide section, making the product completely unusable. The packaging itself was labeled “Box 2 of 2,” clearly indicating multiple pieces were required, yet only one portion was delivered. Trying to get assistance from customer service was a nightmare. I spent over 25 minutes on hold before finally reaching someone, only to be told they “have no clue where the rest of the slide is.” That is not an acceptable response for a purchase of this size and cost. At this point, I have thousands of dollars tied up in a partial shipment sitting in my backyard with no answers, no accountability, and no urgency from the company to resolve the issue. Mistakes happen in shipping, but how a company responds is what matters. Unfortunately, Donehy’s customer service has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional throughout this process. If you are considering making a large purchase through this company, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may be left chasing answers on your own.

I ordered some pool Chemicals on Saturday afternoon a few hours later I found out that I could not safely store these items I had ordered. I bought a bunch so that I could take advantage of the sale and save some money. I live in Phoenix Arizona its extremely hot these Chemicals can't be stored in my built-in garage or in my house its not safe. They have to be kept outside and not above 95 degrees or they disapate and go bad. Its already over a 100 degrees so I can not store extra Chemicals. I have to buy them as I need them. As soon as I found out about 3.5 hours on a Saturday afternoon I tried to contact this company I left 4 or 5 messages, I sent 4 or 5 emails I tried to call but no one was answering phones due to they are closed. The next day Sunday I again tried again and again, finally I got someone on the phone they said they could NOT CANCEL MY ORDER. It hasn't shipped yet they REFUSE to Cancel, they where offering free shipping now they want to also CHARGE ME FOR SHIPPING AN ORDER THAT THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ZERO CUSTOMER CARE OR APPRECIATION. UNBELIEVABLE A FEW HOURS LATER THEY WILL NOT CANCEL AN ORDER AFTER BEING SENT MULTIPLE MESSAGES EXPLAINING THE SITUATION. IT HAS NOT BEEN SHIPPED BUT THEY REFUSE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. BE WARNED BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ZERO !!!!

Needed a product stat. Their website had it and said it would be one day shipping, so I ordered it. Get the confirmation and it's three days shipping and some random address that I don't live at in another city. I contacted them to at minimum update the address to mine, they said they couldn't even though it hasn't shipped and that I would have to pay a $20 fedex fee to have the address updated. Terrible customer service. Just don't. Pay a little extra to ensure proper customer service.

Put in order for clorine tablets on 21st if aug. Stated next day delivery. Was in need because we were going to be away and wanted to fill automatic feeder. Got notice delivery word be 22 since we are only 15 ir so minutes away from warehouse. It is now 24 and still no delivery. I did receive half of my order on the 22nd. Pool,shock.

Bought a solid pool cover from them in 2024. It had rips all thru it within a month of closing my pool and allowed all sorts of junk into my pool. After a little hassle I was given a credit for the poor performance of this cover. Wanted to apply to credit to a much more expensive cover. Was not allowed to do that. Had to get the same crappy cover again. Decided to go to another company to buy the new cover. Makes no sense why I couldn’t apply the credit to a better cover. I will not do business with them again.

We purchased a high end solar cover with a 5 year warranty . The cover literally feel apart in a month . Contacted them about a replacement. You have to sign an agreement that it’s a one time replacement and pay 20 shipping. It’s a joke . Why say the solar cover has a 5 year warranty. I will never buy another product from them ever again.

They are not very reliable!! When I ordered a sand filter with pump on June 25th, they said shipping would be the same or next day!!! Now they claim I will recieve it on July 2nd!! I should have paid the extra $15 to Amazon, it would be arriving today June 28th!!! When I reached out to them about it, they claimed that they didn't have an order for me and I must have got them confused with another company.....seriously??? I've got emails from them and my bank statement has their name as the business that took my money!! They are not business savvy!!!

If I could give less than one star, that is what I would do. Ordered an expensive robotic cleaner from them over a year ago. It needs some rubber parts that have gone bad. Cannot order parts. They just want you to buy a new one.

My original filter went out last summer of 17 years. I bought the Doheny filter last summer and the seam burst. I called and asked for a replacement and the service rep said it had just went out of warranty. Such poor quality and very frustrating spending hundreds of dollars on a filter that busted after a year with no help.

We have had the pump in use for 2 weeks. It stopped and will not even come back on. Because we bought it at end-of season last year, it is no longer under warranty. We got it out of box and installed it 2 weeks ago, it will be in trash truck tomm morning. We may as well have just put the money in the trash!

Absolutely awful service. Terrible. They sent me an email saying that my order was delayed and that if I needed to cancel it I should email customer service. Which I did. A week later, they shipped it anyway! And refused to refund me money saying "Sorry, we shipped it already". I actually had the email still and sent them the original email I used to cancel and they still did not care. They are definitely not the :family" oriented service they say they are. Stick with another delivery service that is more reliable and respects their customers.

2 pumps . Both go bad. 1st one I lucked up & covered under warranty. Didn't last 3 months. This one used 8 months over 2 summers. Went out month 13. They could care less... Spend a little more.. Get a better pump & customer service..

I bought a pool filtration system for my inground pool. NOWHERE did it say this was for above ground pools only! Because I hooked it up and tried to run it and found out it wouldn't work they told me it was used and they wouldn't do anything about it, that I was stuck with it.
