“Absolutely awful service. Terrible. They sent me an email saying that my order was delayed and that if I needed to cancel it I should email customer service. Which I did. A week later, they shipped it anyway! And refused to refund me money saying "Sorry, we shipped it already". I actually had the email still and sent them the original email I used to cancel and they still did not care. They are definitely not the :family" oriented service they say they are. Stick with another delivery service that is more reliable and respects their customers.”

I have made several attempts to return the item, but Doheney's will not respond. I wish that I would have read the reviews first. There are numerous similar reviews. Amazon should drop this seller. Very dishonest seller.”

“This is the complaint I sent to Doheny's:
So, this cover was bought last August and put into service immediately. It was pulled off, rolled up and put into my storage shed for the Winter about mid-September. It was pulled out and put on the pool at the beginning of May 2024. It started bleeding plastic pieces from the bubbles in July. Later in August, when I was pulling the cover off to swim, it ripped. It didn't catch on anything. It just ripped from my pulling. It always goes back on the pool after the swim. These problems shouldn't be manifesting on a cover that has only about 4 months of total usage. My last two covers, which I purchased from Doheny's, both lasted 3 seasons. I didn't save my receipts from them so I couldn't make claims. This last time I did. I am very disappointed this time around. The cover did a fine job heating up the water. It just fell apart. You state the warranty doesn't cover the bubble damage due to an unbalanced pool.
Really? And how long would it need to
be unbalanced for it to eat away the plastic? One day, a week, a month, the whole season? An unbalanced pool would be an uncomfortable pool to swim in. My pH is always where it should be. I assure you my grandkids and my wife would surely complain about the water quality. I run a simple ionizer, which I've used for about 9 seasons. This allows me to use LESS chlorine. So, that can't be it. I also use Easy Care Pooltec algaecide. There is nothing in it's information sheets that says it will harm plastic. That's all the chemicals I use. No need to use pH adjusters because it's never out of whack. I really don't think ANY cover will make it to it's warranted life expectancy. But, it surely should last more than 4 months. I expect a fairly decent credit towards another cover. After a month, no reply. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH DOHENY'S!”
“Terrible warranty coverage on winter cover. Bought mesh winter cover that lasted one season. Clearly ripped in several places around hemmed grommet band. Doheny denied claim citing abrasions were the cause. I have bought quite a few things from Doheny in the past, including covers, but will never buy from them again.”
“I recently purchased 50lbs of chlorine tabs from Doheny's and after using just over 1/4 of the bucket of tabs we found that all the remaining tabs were broken and or crushed. I contacted Doheny's and sent pictures of the damaged product. I would not credit or refund for the amount of the damaged product. They would only offer 10% credit back. The 10% does not cover the amount of damaged product at all. Very disappointed and I will not be ordering from Doheny's in the future.”
“I wish I would have checked the reviews before I ordered from Dohenys. Never again and I would not suggest anyone else order from this company. I purchased the wrong part for my pool and when I called to do a return they said since the order was under 40 dollars they would not accept a return. I called them within a week of receiving the item. Very poor customer service and will never order from them again!!! Need to be more upfront when ordering a part that it can’t be retuned! Never order from this company. This is why they have one out of 5 stars!!!”
