sold me a cartridge filter that the first filter didn't do a good job and they gave me incorrect part number for replacement. turns out they have no replacement and will not return it. This is like selling a car that no tires will fit

Every time I've called Doheny's I talk to nice, polite customer service people, eager to help and knowledgeable. UNTIL I tried to order a pool cover. Then, in the custom pool cover department I talked to Joanna first, then Emily, both who were angry, accusatory, and not helpful at all. I called back several more times but it seems these are the only two who work with custom pool covers. I'm buying my cover (and the rest of my pool supplies forever) from another supplier. These two need to be retired or retrained!

Their customer service and standing behind their products is awful. When something happens with a product that you purchase from them they don’t want to know anything. My pool heater is about 13 months old and the warranty for the pool heater is 12 months however with calling within the 12 months they still wanted nothing to do with helping us. Will never buy from them again nor will we recommend them to anyone we know

I bought a pump for my inground swimming pool last August. It stopped working on July 7. The pump is still under warranty but I had to pay for them to send me a new one. They said when I send the old one back, they will reimburse me. Unfortunately, I have to pay to send it back and I will not be reimbursed for shipping. It is very expensive to ship a 35 pound pump back to a company. I feel they should pay for the shipping as well. I have contacted customer service numerous times to request shipping labels. They don’t even answer my emails. Shame on your company! I will not be purchasing anything else from Doheny’s! Nor will I be recommending them to my many many friends who have pools and spas.

The only reason I give 1 star is I couldn’t give 0. The worst customer service ever. Rude and worthless customer service people and managers. Pitiful!

Completely worthless and angering customer service. If you call, you get a foreign call center that can't / won't help. If you email, it takes multiple days to get responses and when you do get a response, it is robotic and scripted. They ignore you and worse offer no or unreasonable solutions. They left me hanging with a brand new defective Hayward valve. I wound up having to purchase o-rings myself just to get it to stop leaking. The way they treat customers is shameful.

I ordered an 18" pool liner on March 30, 2022. I paid for the more expensive one, thinking it would last longer. We put the liner in April 21 and it looked good. As the water started filling up the liner made a diamond shaped hole tearing. We stopped the water and called Doheny. They said we had to go through Swimline for the warranty. So I sent her pictures. Today, May 3, Kim at Slimline, 'finally' told me "we only cover tears at the seam". UMMMMM, so your defective product that I am just filling up water and got a hole it from filling it up, you will not cover?" I am LIVID and if you are smart DO NOT BUY A LINER FROM THEM.

The on line ad said "Free Overnight Shipping" so I ordered my pump right away. Monday afternoon I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation so I called customer service (in India). I was told it should arrive in 4-5 days. After some conversation I was transferred to someone in Tennessee. They told me it should arrive in 2-3 days. I reminded them that their website said I should have it today! They apologized but said they couldn't do anything about it. I cancelled my order and went with Amazon. They might be a good place to order from if you are not in a hurry but don't believe the shipping times on their site!

Buyer beware. If you receive a defective product, good luck getting your money back. No one answered the phone or called me back after leaving repeated messages. I purchased an expensive float that didn’t inflate. They insisted i send it back and refused to reimburse me the shipping cost. After several months of disputing the charge with my credit card company I finally got most of my money back. Awful, timely and exhausting experience. Would have left a zero rating if possible Buy someplace else and save yourself the grief.

All, DO NOT shop at Doheny's. They refuse to treat the customer in a professional manner. I received my product with black marks on the hose. I have reported them to Amazon with a valid case to have them removed from the platform all together. I returned an item I never used within 30 days and was charged a restocking fee of $117. I had to return this product once a hired professional came to get this working in my pool and informed me I either need to spend another $2,000 or return the product. I returned it never used and was charged $117. Doheny's manager Nancy is on recorded lines stating they will make right by it and refund me the full restocking fee several times (lying). Nick Griffith said he does not agree the product was used and they will refund the full amount (also a lie on a recorded line). They then took that back and blamed Amazon for not getting fully refunded and told me that my issue is with Amazon and only Amazon can help (another lie). Their manager said I am banned from calling them (but Amazon even said that with an issue such as this I am 110% allowed to contact them). Funny thing is Amazon already told me that the ball is in the sellers court to reimburse me the rest. I still am owed $96 dollars over this. I have reported the Doheny's managers and request pending to remove them from the platform since this is how they treat customers. Moral of the story: shop elsewhere, shop local ( not Doheny's and not Amazon).
