“I have ordered for 5 yrs from you. My last 3” chlorine tablet 50lb bucket was so broken up most packets were nothing but powder. Where is your quality control?? Changing companies for chlorine.”

The customer service representative said you may get it tomorrow or the next day or the next. What would have happened if I did not call?”
“I don't normally write review but have been ordering chemicals from Doheny's for several years and have to say without a doubt they are the fastest in processing an order and delivery. All companies should follow their lead. Product arrives as fast as Amazon Prime and have never had an issue. Great company, great products and best of all, great prices!”

“I bought a pump, got it in two days , not overnight- but that didn’t bother me. When I called for technical support, I was told they have no technical support. Their phone tells you to press 2 or3 for support. Will never use them again.”
“Total bad experience and customer service is non existent. We had a solar cover that we only used one season. We have been pool owners for many years and we have never had one be such poor quality. When we called they ask for photos and an email which we supplied. They responded that it wasnt a covered warranty issue. They didnt even seem to care when I told them they had lost a customer.

“Horrible experience. Cancelled my order for lack of supplies but took the money out of my account. After several emails and calls was told money would be returned. They took another $283 dollars out of my account. 3 days of arguing no product. After they cancelled product turns up on my driveway. I have to return or they keep my money. Never again. Please beware!! Supervisor Hope was rude and nasty.”
“Too bad 0 stars is not an option. I bought a 1.5 Power Pump and in less than 3 weeks it was making a loud noise and stopped working. I called customer service (bad language barrior) they said they would send a shipping label to return it for a refund. That's exactly what I did. I received an email stating they received the pump and would issue a refund. That afternoon there was a replacement pump on my porch and they refused to issue a credit stating my original did not make the 30 day return policy. What makes them think I wanted to take a chance with another JUNK pump from them? Please people DO NOT order from this miserable company.”
“I would rate it no stars if I could. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. I ordered Zeron paint for a pool, they sent me the wrong item. Fine, people make mistakes, I get it. I called their customer service and had it corrected and immediately shipped back the item they sent me in error instead of the paint. They didn’t ship my paint. I called 2 days later and couldn’t get an answer. 3 days later I find they hadn’t shipped the right item yet. No urgency about getting me what I need, no compensation, would not overnight to correct the mistake. Even as I write this I’m still not sure they shipped it. Keep in mind this isn’t normal paint, this is 144 dollar per gallon paint. Use any other company besides this. They will take your money but they don’t care about getting you what you need.”
“I ordered a $1100 pump/filter 4/24, it arrived with a crack in the filter.. I called customer service.. they sent me a shipping label to return pump but would not send out a replacement until I sent the broken one back.. Well I needed a pump/filter so I paid for ANOTHER PUMP/FILTER..
I shipped damaged one back and instead of refund I got another pump/filter.. Instead of this being their mistake.. I will not get a refund until I mail THIS PUMP/FILTER back..
I have 2 $1100 charges on my card..

“Good website with product descriptions. equipment always arrives fast. I ordered the correct pump but the one sent was either wrong or defective. I had to purchase one locally which worked fine (so all piping was sound). Called Doheny they said they would charge a 20% restocking fee. I objected. They said send photos - i sent photos and have not received a call back. I am still sitting on a $300 inoperative pump with no path forward.”
“Worst company to deal with. Ordered a pump specifically from them because they advertise next day delivery, well pump never came. I end up calling them to ask where’s my pump and they tell me I should receive it in the next 2 days so I’m like what do you mean that’s false advertisement. So I told them I can’t wait that long I’ll just go buy one at the local pool store and they refuse to refund me my money and are telling me I’ll have to pay $18 to have them reroute the pump before refunding . I’ve never dealt with such incompetence. Worst company to deal with. They supposedly only ship next day if they have the product in the main warehouse total B.S”
“Ordered a 1.5 hp pool pump it lasted less than 1 year. They say still under warranty but I must pay all shipping to return and the replacement will only have the remaining time of current warranty on it. My Hayward lasted 5 years so guess what, I am not wasting time with this company again. Poor products and customer service sucks.”
“I bought the vac pro drive ag, a year and a half ago and this and the third vac I buy in less than 4 years only works exactly for a year after breaks, I called the company and they simply said that I had to buy another or try to fix it, they did not give me an assistance how to do it, particularly I do not recommend buying anything from this company,very disappointed , because when they sold they were so good patients now that I need help they did not give any attention I do not recommend. zero star.”
“Purchased a inground pump motor on 2/5/24, installed on March 24th, on May 30th it started making a horrible grinding noise. I called customer service, bad mistake (horrible language issue). I was told I would have to send in the current (bad) pump, let it be inspected, in order to receive a replacement... REALLY!! It is June, pool season. I am now a IN THE SWIM customer. HORRIBLE!!!!!”
“We just bought a Hayward salt system. We have it hooked up and the flow switch is bad. I have 400. Lbs of salt in my pool and the generator isn’t working. I called about exchanging the part. They referred me to Hayward. Hayward said I need to find a local warranty place. I had to call Hayward 3 times because there are no dealers around here that will do the warranty if I didn’t buy it from them. I’m disappointed that Doheny didn’t stand behind the products they sell. I guess we should have paid more and bought it at a local dealer.”
