We ordered 8 leather dining chairs in November of 2017. They were almost a month late in arriving, and the company handled that well, giving us a bit of a discount on the order. Then, in January of 2019, one of the chairs developed some blistering on the back. Rather than take responsibility for it themselves, Sleek Modern referred it to the manufacturer who claimed that we had probably used the wrong product to clean it. I have been diligent about using a high quality leather cleaner and conditioner, and a year later none of the other chairs have developed this problem. It is a defect in the one chair, and Sleek Modern has refused to do anything about it.

We purchased a table from Sleek Modern Furniture on December 12, 2018. Today is February 1, 2019 and we don’t have the table...or a tracking number...or even an estimated ship date. We’ve had the pleasure of exchanging 26 emails and spending over and hour (during 4 phone calls) with Amanda, Catherine and Kaley. They've always been polite, but only offered excuses, not solutions. We were promised tracking numbers numerous times over the last (almost) two months and most recently, three weeks ago, were told we would have a delivery date “probably in week and definitely within two weeks.” Two days ago, January 30, 2019, after accepting our payment 7 weeks ago, Catherine went ahead and refunded out order because she “wasn’t confident our order could be fulfilled.” So now we are eating on the floor, apparently aren't getting a table and we were offered 15% off our next order with Sleek Modern Furniture for the “inconvenience.” Unfortunately, I suspect we won’t be ordered from them again.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are extremely DECEITFUL and INCOMPETENT. I spent over 30 hours managing this company to receive a $2700+ order. We ordered November 26th and were told we would receive our order first week of December. Over a three month period, three times we were told our order had been shipped only to discover it was all a lie. Finally THREE MONTHS LATER, in February we received our order. As compensation for the ridiculous amount of hours I spent coordinating with their "customer service team" Amanda and Catherine, they offered free white glove delivery. Sounded like a great peace offering. However, once the delivery company arrived, they refused to do white glove delivery because Sleek Modern Furniture never set it up. WOW! Even worse our product was delivered damaged. Now a month after the delivery and they have stopped answering our emails to advise when we can expect to receive the replacement furniture. All along the way, Catherine and Amanda commiserated with the issues I was going through which made me feel better that maybe this company wasn't as dishonest and unorganized as they seemed and that maybe I just happened to have a series of unfortunate events. But lie after lie and now no communication, I realize we have been scammed. This is a bad dream that I want to wake up from. Save yourself from this company. There are plenty other companies to choose from that offer same brands with better customer service. I will be proceeding with chargeback with my credit card company along with contacting the better business bureau of their deceit.
