It works. It really works. It was difficult to order: starting from finding "order" button, going to searching what all those words mean on the order page and finishing with reading the installation instructions. After completing the quest people should be issued with a bike expert certificate

Very satisfied with my conversion kit!

I love the ability to get a little E-assistance on my own bike rather than purchasing a very heavy dedicated E-bike. With the Swytch kit installed (actually not too difficult for a 66 yo woman) and good customer service throughout the process, I have enjoyed riding my bike again with a belief that I can conquer the hills. However, I have an occasional problem with getting the throttle (optional equipment) to engage when I need it on those hills. It seems to work best with little torque on the pedals, but that is counter to my needs. Also, wish it were easier to use the controls to change the Pedal Assist level while riding, but I find it difficult to do without multiple taps on the buttons as it is not particularly responsive. But that PA, even on L1, is powerful. I never use it on L5, afraid to try!

Once I finally got everything setup it’s great! I do have to mention that the setup did not go smooth. Customer service was great at first but every time i opened another ticket they kept closing it with helping. It was as if they fixed the problem. I had three show stoppers that they helped with one of them. After much google research finally figured out the issues. The nuts that came with rim had a raised ridge on the back making it unable to apply to my rock shock forks. The sensor would not fit on frame in a spot that allowed it to operate. Pedal extension wouldn’t work because it kept misaligning the sensor. Basically had to use box cutters and zip ties to make everything work.

Overall satisfaction Improvements 1. Battery holder be better can adjust the spacing at the hold area. 2. Need a better way than a cable tie.

It’s great riding my own bike around with assistance. Plus the battery is compact and easily detaches, for peace of mind when the bike is locked up on the street. The bike feels a bit heavier now with the motor but overall it’s improved my cycling experience. Les’s good was that the display/control panel went wrong after about 15 months of use which doesn’t seem very long. Happily the replacement was not too expensive but there was very little info available about the problem and emailing kept coming back with only partial info sometimes days later. That kind of info could easily be on the website as could clear instructions his to use the LED display. The replacement is not as straightforward as the original but I’d does give you your speed which some people would like. Cangg to figure out how to enter my wheel size so the speed is at best an estimate. In short, good, and few tweaks would make Swytch fantastic.

Very happy with the kit that I received and my only niggle is that I did not get the seat adapter kit for the battery not really thinking how much room the battery takes up thus making it impossible to have any lights on my handle bar. I now have the battery mounted on my seat post, which also helps with the weight distribution, and covered in red reflective tape. If there was one thing I would love to have it would be a energy recovery system that charged the battery. All in all though happy.

Well my original order was missing the LED piece to turn it on and off. They were quick to respond and ship the part as soon as they were made aware. Then the piece didn't fit my road bike. My handlebars are wrapped and even without the tape the piece didn't fit it. This was disappointing but I resolved it with a zip tie (I hope). There was another piece included (a thumb throttle I believe it's called) that apparently isn't needed and doesn't fit my set up but it was frustrating to figure that out. I've only taken it out twice before cold weather hit but I did enjoy riding it those two times. Not sure how long the battery will last as I haven't ridden it long enough, first rides were only 6miles.

very cool system (it took a while to receive the order), I can do my usual ways to work, sports and so on without beeing too exhausted and it´s very fun to ride my "new" bike, which I love cause it´s a really cool one - so its still the same old Glanzrad - just pimped :-D the only thing is that the battery lasts max. only 13 km, not miles, and that it needs to be charged after every 7,5 k ride to be shure to have enough energy to go back home - the more uphill way (in the city)

I had to buy a new sensor ring after little use and I think there should be a better solution for this part. I would like to know if there is an affordable upgrade path for the original powerpack and mount to the phase 2 battery and handlebar mount.

It is a treat to be assisted along at amazing speeds. The motor takes the curse out of transporting heavy loads. I wish there were a way to go slow. Pedaling slowly has no effect. The motor is either on or off. If on it goes too fast, if off no assistance. All considered, a boon.

Wonderful product to upgrade and extend the life of your existing bike - why dump and buy new? Choose the responsible alternative.

We ordered two Brompton kits at the same time, one came as expected with the new MAX battery the second arrived with a MAX battery but the rest of the kit was for the previous style battery. They did not work together. So there was a few weeks of back and forth before this was resolved. A bit frustrating. Once installed the kits work great and help flatten the hills a bit for these later 50’s riders. My biggest issue with the kit performance is that there is more drag on the motor wheel when powered off than would be ideal, it makes for slightly less enjoyable power off riding.

The kit now works well. I have two batteries that give me a 60-70 Km range (and I ordered a new one that should allow me to ride all day). Initially I experienced several problems due to a bad battery that I received (it lasted about 10-15 Km, i.e. less than half of the rated range) and due to customer support being slow in acknowledging that there was a problem. Eventually they sent me a replacement battery and everything was smooth. But it took over a month to resolve. And it should be easy to add a charge monitor to the controller, to check the health status of the battery and notify you when it no longer (or never, as in my case :-) ) holds the stated charge. So... technically great, logistically less great. But overall I am happy because the bike now works well and I enjoy riding it a lot!!

System works well. Good idea if you have an existing bike and don't want to go to the expense of buying a new electric bike. Fitting reasonable straight foreword, only drawback is the number of cables which need to be fastened to the frame but that's only to be expected. Delivery time is the only thing I disliked nearly 5 months for me.

Okay, switch kit is very good time it takes to get one. That's another question. Mine took 2 months longer to get than I was told my delivery date. So if you are prepared to wait longer for your kit then they say go ahead. Otherwise don't bother

Appropriately powered. Best factor is the convenience of attaching and un-attaching the modest sized battery.

The kit is great. Wish I only got it when I was expecting it which was 2 months after the delivery date. So if you're thinking of one of these are going to turn up when they say it's more likely not just make sure that you understand that when you order
