“I love the Swytch kit, not so much the delivery time. It took about 9 months to get my kit (in Canada). I chose this product because I am 72, an upper limb amputee with a 25 year old Raleigh Legend bike that I really don’t want to give up. After finally getting my kit this spring, I got my wife & son to help me with putting it together. That turned out to be easier than expected. The hardest part was adjusting the brakes (nothing to do with the kit). Now that I have my newly renewed bike working, I love it! I can face hills without flinching, never have to worry about being too tired to make it back home from the pickleball court. If they could find a way to shorten the delivery delay, this would be a near-perfect solution. As with another reviewer, I find that the high mount of the battery impedes balance somewhat so I will be working on a way to mount it lower.”

“I began to get worried when promised delivery dates came and went but once the kit arrived it fitted easily and I am delighted with it's performance. Full disclosure: I'm a life long cyclist living in Spain who's nearer 80 than 70 and have been using the kit outside of it's intended use. As It's been a few years since I've wanted to climb some of the mountain passes here I use the assist to help on the very steep parts and ride the rest myself. Turning around at the summit I can descend easily even with a spent battery. With a little forethought 40Km rides in the high mountains are now possible again. If there was an easy way to carry a second battery or Swytch offered a way to extend the range I would be placing an order. Downsides: My initial build had the battery as high as possible but I found that it adversely affected the handling, particularly in high winds, a ten minute fix. Very slow and tight turns need my full attention as the motor can "assist" with just a little pedal pressure causing a wider turning circle than expected. I've swapped bikes with a few riding buddies and they've all been "converted".”

“A quick and easy way to convert you old bike to an electric assisted bike. Everything you need is there in the box. It took less than an hour to fit the kit. In fact it took longer to charge the battery, so I’d start that off charging while to fit your kit.”

“The swytch kit is great. The customer care bot so . I have been waiting on my A frame battery cradle that I paid for in January 2023. Still waiting on when it's going to be delivered.As they said they had a few issues with it. No further updates or refund offered.”

“Very easy to fit works really well on the steam roller which is a track bike frame. It has really good momentum. I am a big guy and getting around 12 miles from the bigger battery. Instead of a single speed I have fitted it with a three speed sturmey archer hub on a 700 c wheel. I am 61 and have had tachycardic arrhythmia so have to be careful pushing my heart rate up to maximum. The switch kit has really helped me. Great for work I am a community worker who travels all over the city daily.”

“I wish Swytch made a PAS sensor that works on the right (non-drive) side for a tandem. I had to mount it on the left (drive)side with the chainring and it's messy and doesn't work well at all. Tech support told me they don't make a right-side sensor so make sure you know that before ordering for a tandem. When it works, though, it's great.”

“Love having the power on my road bike as well as my Brompton which was converted using the older battery with controls within it. The downside to the new battery is the control is on a separate gadget which only allows power increase and not decrease so is much more time consuming to go down or turn off, which you do not have time for when riding. More description of the control unit would have been useful when buying. I would have paid extra for a more sensible unit!”
