Decent price, easy to install kit. Customer service has been great in follow-up.

Let me start by saying that once I got it installed and running, I was VERY satisfied with the Swytch riding experience. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for - a power assist on the grades. It works seamlessly - but the installation was anything but. The first wrinkle was just getting the motor wheel itself installed: my Trek FX2 had a through-axle fork, and the Swytch only works with a bolt-on. So the first thing I had to do was replace the fork. I also had to replace the hydraulic brake rotor AND find an adapter for the hydraulic brake caliper. I had to have it all done by my bike shop and it cost about $300 on top of the cost of the Swytch kit. When I got to setting up the rest of, that was a series of complications as well. It was not clear how to clamp the magnet rotor on the crank shaft; the sensor did not fit between the frame and the rotor until I decide to saw the mount off and secure it with wire ties; likewise, the mount for the LED controller is too small for my handlebars and THAT had to be wire-tied into place too. Finding the necessary instructions was a bit of chore, too, because there are separate manuals for separate components and of course everything is online. No actual "manual." But... somehow... through grit and perseverance (and entirely too much gnashing of teeth) I got it all set up and went for a test ride and... THAT was a REVELATION. It's effing MAGIC! The damn thing seems to work perfectly. With the LED controller I can turn the motor on or off, or leave it a minimal input until I get to a hill and then... Hill? What hill? I will go for my first serious ride with it tomorrow, and I'm quite looking forward to it. I would have given the whole experience 5 stars for the end result, but the installation was at best a 3 so I settled for 5. But based on my little bit of experience with the actual ride so far, I have to say the 5 is definitely worth the three.

My husband used to take his bike out about once a year, but since making it electric he's been out several times a week. The only downside is the large amount of cables that we still need to find a way of hiding.

The delivery process was very disappointing given wrong battery charger was included and wrong battery holder on the bike. It took an extra month from initial delivery to finally get the correct package. However now finally fitted to the bike, it works well.

Very happy. Bought two kits, one for me, one for wife. Great help on the hills in Cornwall! Easy to install. Only wish is that customer service would answer the phone instead of email and wait a day or two.

Fantastic system. Really good when all is in place. Slightly more difficult to mount on my bike than I thought though. Maybe because my bike is >20 year old. Really happy

Found it easy to assemble and it has made my commute considerably easier especially on the hills.

Customer service good, price OK, delivery late, returns & refunds didn't try. Design fault requires a large spanner to be carried around to release front wheel to repair punctures. A retrograde step from my quick release hub.

Really happy with our Swytch bike, when it finally arrived (delivery was a couple of weeks outside the window for one bike, and still waiting for a second one 3 months late and counting). Customer service were very fair, however, and refunded us the extra we'd paid for early delivery, but a bit disappointing. A query we had on the installation (part of the kit, the magnetic disc didn't seem to match what was shown in the manual) was quickly responded to. Now the bike is going and it is really good! Very happy with the operation and performance (I'd say the optional display/control which we got is essential for varying the assistance level according to the terrain) and the installation was easy if you are used to bike maintenance. It was a bit of a struggle to organize the wiring as there is quite a bit of spare cable to loop around neatly - inevitable as the kit is designed to fit on a wide range of bike sizes. We got the Go+ battery and it is rather heavy to take off and carry around whilst the bike is parked in town, but the velcro straps would be easy for a thief to undo and steal the battery if left on. I see they now offer a locking mount - I'll have to investigate that.

The kit arrived a bit later than was promised. The kit included a "special" pedal sensor that did not fit my bike and after 2 goes (and about a week) a correct one was sent. I am quite experienced in bike and car repairs but I found the fitting process quite tricky. It was particularly difficult to fit the cables in a tidy and neat manner. However, once fitted, the bike performs really well and I am very pleased with it.

Generally really good, I have just found the battery indicator on the LED display and battery unreliable, neither of them seem to be an accurate description and the battery runs out quicker than expected. Otherwise I love the kit, it was delivered super quickly and was easy to install.

Good quality construction and easy to fit. Not really compatible with narrow tyres because of the speed and a rougher ride than normal, so I have fitted wider tyres to overcome the problem. The motor makes my commute less energy zapping but I have to charge the battery both ends of the journey to manage the 21 mile round trip

I love the product, only deducted one star as there was a bit of a faff getting the right wheel for my bike, I have a folding Brompton and the wheel I was sent ‘twice’ was too thick. However the customer service was excellent on each occasion and soon rectified. It works great, if you could integrate lights into it it would be perfect.

Customer service is pretty good, replies to emails often the same day if not 1-2 days. Price was over-charged by £50 compared to original order, and I had to contact them and send proof of the original order email to get the excess refunded (I'd have thought they should've had records of that if I had!). I ordered the kit last September, delivery was estimated March, then March-April, it finally arrived mid May, disappointed on lead time. It's a shame there wasn't a black wheel option (only silver) as my bike has black wheels, so now it looks odd with one black and one silver wheel. The battery is easy to fit but isn't that compact, as it sits inside the frame triangle, it takes too much space up that I can't fit a water bottle in the cage any more. Performance is good, it's fairly gradual power delivery once you start pedalling, not jerky at all, and with the basic handlebar controller it's easy to operate. My wife's very pleased with the power it gives her to get up hills, although is less keen on all the extra wiring and cable ties everywhere. We bought this to put on a light hybrid bike, to replace a much heavier e-bike, and it does the job very well. Due to the ligher overall weight, it's much easier to lift onto bike racks too now, so overall pretty happy with it.

Converting my daily use cycle into electric was great, the process was straight forward and the results good, one disappointment was range. But that was maybe expected with the size of battery. There should be a range of interchangeable batteries to suit each buyer's requirements and funds available.

Converted two bikes - mostly pleased with the results. A couple of hardware problems which were handled fairly efficiently by team support via email. They seemed eager to understand and solve any problem you may have. Battery development is on going which means new designs appear to be introduced quite regularly. I'm guessing when if do decide to upgrade the various connections will still be in place. As far as safety is concerned this is appears to be one of the best reliable batteries. We converted 4 years ago as we wanted a light-weight e-bike option. Used fairly regularly and still going strong.

I'm not mechanically minded so found assembly instructions confusing. So far it works well and makes cycling uphill not a workout!. My niggle, like many others are the continually changing and conflicting readings on battery pack and LED display.

Provides the confidence to tackle any cycling adventures! The Swytch ‘experience’ speaks for itself - my only minor criticism is that you cannot trade-in the original 1st generation battery pack for the new lightweight ‘pocket’ type 2nd generation one!

This is just what I was looking for. It's my first e-bike and I love it. Puts a real smile on my face when the power kicks in and I find I'm using my bike LOADS more. It was a fairly simple installation apart from having to trim down the plastic pedal sensor to fit. I went for the air max battery but I live in a hilly city so it doesn't get anywhere near the maximum mileage.. perhaps 18-20k on level one assist. Support has been good and the packaging and feel of the product is excellent. My only gripe is the remaining power indicators on the battery and the control panel. They're never the same and both appear wildly inaccurate. My battery stopped providing power at the bottom of a hill yesterday even though it had 3 LEDs (40-60%) remaining. Overall a great way to convert an existing bike.
