“Faulty parts. Avoid this company
We ordered the bed and it was supposed to arrive within 2 days. We were contacted saying stock was unavailable and told to pay more to get a more expensive model..suddenly they found a bed in 2 days later and shipped it out to us.
When the bed arrived the measurements of the bed were incorrect, when we tried to return the bed we were told that we had passed the 14 day return period as it was the 15th day since the bed arrived.
I tried explaining that the bed had lots of cracks in the wood as well but was told that I now had to deal with it as it was over the 14 day return period.
I'm currently heavily pregnant and couldn't put the bed together myself so had to wait for my husband to find time out of his work rotations to fix the bed.
I would avoid this company. They are very unhelpful and advertise things cheap only to try and force you into a more expensive option.”

“We purchased a single-floor bed with a canopy from Bed Kingdom for our two-year-old son. Unfortunately, the same piece of wood has broken twice, despite minimal use. The bed is poorly made and unable to support even a toddler’s weight, making it unsafe.
When I first contacted Bed Kingdom, they offered to send a replacement part, which I accepted. However, after the second breakage, I requested a refund so I could purchase a safer bed. They refused and sent another replacement piece instead.
This bed is not fit for purpose, and I wouldn’t recommend spending £220 on something so unsafe.”
“It’s difficult to even begin listing the absolute avalanche of issues I encountered with this company—easily one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. I placed an order on 28/10, for delivery on 29/10, expecting a seamless transaction. Well, it was anything but.
First, the delivery driver calls, saying they’d be arriving in 20-30 minutes. Two hours later, after being forced to take time away from work to meet them, the driver finally arrives, unapologetic, dismissive, and irritated that I even questioned the delay. When I asked him why he was late, he gets visibly annoyed and, to my disbelief, says, “Do you want your delivery or not?” There I was, already losing hours at work, just trying to get the delivery done with. But the real nightmare was yet to come.
Later that evening, I cleared out my kids’ old beds and prepped to assemble the new ones. I opened all the boxes, organized the pieces, only to find—wait for it—no bolts, no screws, nothing to actually put the beds together. Unbelievable. I immediately called the company, explained the problem, and after an agonizing 17 minutes on the phone, I was told that nothing could be done that evening as their warehouse closes at 3 pm. On top of that, they needed photos of the boxes as “proof.” No manager could be reached, and they insisted I’d just have to wait another two days for the missing parts. So here I am, kids with no beds, no manager to speak with, and no help from anyone.
Two days pass, and I’m expecting the delivery. This time, the delivery company just doesn’t show up, then claims they couldn’t deliver because I “didn’t answer my phone.” For the record, my phone didn’t ring once. I hadn’t received a single missed call. But because of this supposed missed call, they can’t deliver until the next weekday. And, of course, Saturday delivery isn’t an option either. Now I’m told it’ll be delivered Monday, 28/10.
Another 20-minute phone call later, explaining that I’d received no calls, their only response is, “Well, they don’t have to call you.” But their own email promised a call, and they’d called the first time! Monday comes, and I receive an email that they’ve called before delivery. Guess what—no call, no missed call alerts, no sign of any attempt to reach me. They do, however, show up, so I think finally, problem solved. Nope.
The driver says, “I’ve got one more box for you.” Another box? It turns out they resent an entire duplicate of one box, along with the bolts and screws separately. So now I’ve got this extra box filled with parts. As I begin round two of assembly that evening, I discover yet another issue: they sent four of the same part, rather than the two I needed of each. Luckily, the additional, unnecessary box had the parts I needed. But the extra frustration and wasted time? Unforgivable.
The cherry on top was that even once assembled, the bed quality was subpar. Nothing aligned properly, and I found dents and visible marks, sloppily painted over sawdust. When I finally managed to get a manager on the phone, her “compensation offer” was a laughable £20. Insulted, I refused. So she upped it to £30, which only made me angrier. No amount of small change could compensate for this disaster.
The entire experience was a joke from start to finish. My kids spent a week on the floor, and the company offered minimal support and maximum inconvenience. Avoid this company at all costs—I’d give them zero stars if I could. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.”
“Do Not Purchase From This Company!
Bed arrive damaged and Bed Kingdom customer service have been less than useless in providing a return for a refund.
Main components of the bed are unsuitable so left with a £500 bed unfit for its purpose
Worst company I have had to deal with.”
“Dreadful service.. mattresses were so uncomfortable that the children were literally laying on springs .. was offered a duvet set as compensation!!! I had to buy new mattresses elsewhere..
And I keep getting sent these reviews and I keep sending them back with the same complaint.
Bunk bed frames were very good.”
“Awful mattress, made my son sweat profusely. It was supposed to be what he’d had already. We swapped out their mattress protector as it was plastic backed not cotton- wouldn’t have bought it if I’d realised this. I bought a tog 4 duvet. He’s a normal weight 11 year old and with a much lighter duvet on the same set up (slatted bed) not in a heat wave, he was sweating profusely. He’s fine in my bed (memory foam) or his old bed (pocket sprung with memory foam topper) but not on this mattress even with all the adjustments. I contacted the company within 2 weeks of having purchased it and they refused to refund it claiming it’s not faulty, despite not having looked at it. They offered me £20 discount on a new one. Terrible customer services and complete breach of consumer legislation. Will be taking the matter up with my credit card for them to resolve as the company say they won’t enter into any further discussion about it other than to sell me another mattress with a £20 discount!!!”
“Delivered the wrong mattress and completely unwilling to acknowledge this let alone fix it. Should have listened to the terrible reviews on Google. Terrible online retailer.”
“Our son fell through the top bunk slats on the first use due to the chipboard supports holding the top bunk up. See photos
The company insisted it wasn't their fault and refused to give a refund, despite a scraped and bruised nine year old.”
“A terrible service and awful quality.
The in-correct bed was delivered and when replaced it was damaged. The customer service team then told me it was my fault having reviewed the extensive photographic evidence that I supplied including part of the bed which was split and other areas where it was chipped and broken / snapped elements. They made no reference to the dangerous staples poking out - certainly not appropriate for a child's bed. I would not advise using this company or purchasing anything from them. A very disappointing and frustrating experience.
Date of experience: 03 November 2023”
““Upon placing an order with this company, the cheaper items are sent promptly, but the remaining items require follow-up. In addition, when attempting to cancel a missing bed frame that was scheduled for delivery on Wednesday, customers may find that their money is kept by the company without any updates until they follow up. If you do not wish to risk losing your money and not receiving your items, we recommend considering other options.””
“I have been using this company for years and normally have a really good experience. Unfortunately I purchased a bed off them which was not fit for purpose and their customer service has been really poor. I informed them from day one that the product went up to scratch them. They told me they look into it then they asked me to send an email and it’s been going from there at the end of it. They have given me a bed that can’t be used for the £20 refund, really appreciate I have accepted this as a goodwill gesture, but they have lost a valued customer. I will from now on purchase from someone else. They actually value their customers and their opinions. I don’t know how many photos I have but I still get the same answer. It’s not a problem you put the bed up your problem.”
