“AVOID AT ALL COSTS If you want a speedy repair on your phone I would strongly avoid this company very quick to take your money but absolutely useless when it comes to making a claim they seem to change 3rd party repairers all the time and well this new one are even more useless than all the old ones they question you and how your phone has broken take 7 days to get back to you then you are made to wait another 3 days for details on where to send your device I am still awaiting that hence this review god knows how long they will actually take to repair my phone screen perhaps another 14 days AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Today I have received an Email telling me you will not honour my claim as my friend and colleague ordered the watch for me using his Amazon Prime account.
The name on the invoice was he’s name obviously as it was his account but the delivery address was MINE
The watch was added to my Apple account (which I have sent proof)
I spoke to a “Rob” today who promised to send my claim details to a gadget team manager but I feel your company will not adhere to any promises you make
How many more excess amounts do you receive and then refuse to help with claims
My watch is so important to me as it is contact with my partner while I have to work (we are not allowed to use our phones) but I dont suppose you care about things like that 😢”

I have sent all documents I have from phone company etc for lost items but they still ask for more. It’s a joke they made it to difficult to claim purposely. So strongly advice to not use axa or David group as sadly when you do need to claim on travel insurance you can’t. Joke! Stay clear”

“This was done by Davies through my insurance company. I was assured they would repair my Mac so it was still applied to Mac warranty. A year and a month later it broke down. I took it to Apple and they said the Mac wasn’t repaired within Apple standards. I went back to Davies and they refused to touch it as it was a month out of their own warranty. So, Davies clearly lied and hadn’t repaired it to Apple standards and then refused to accept responsibility. I certainly wouldn’t trust them with computer repairs.”

I am writing this review mainly to warn others to read their bicycle insurance policy carefully before purchasing.
After having three bikes stolen, I decided to buy a new one and have it insured. It was not an expensive bike, just £300.
I paid for the insurance and, naively believing things would be handled with common sense, I did not read the policy properly. I made sure my bike had the correct lock every time I parked it. I never left the bike unattended or without the lock on the frame.
However, my mistake was bringing it to work and leaving it by the office door inside my WORKPLACE, a PRIVATE! building. Even then, my bike was stolen because it wasn't locked. Someone walked in and went directly to where my bike was, indicating they knew its location, likely because someone told them. Everything was captured on CCTV.
My claim was refused.
Here’s the issue: they require you to lock your bike even inside private spaces, including your OWN HOUSE. If you leave your bike unlocked inside your house and someone breaks in and steals it, you are NOT covered.
I want to thank Becky for her patience and understanding of my frustration. My case has now been passed to management, but my faith that common sense will prevail has diminished. After all, it is a company focused on making money, right?
Don't make the same mistake as I did, folks. They won't hesitate to refuse your claim.”

I have made a complaint over a month ago and heard nothing back. “I had a terrible experience with Davies-group (home protect insurance). After my bicycle was stolen, I reported it promptly. Instead of updating me directly, they sent an email asking me to call them, only to inform me that my claim was declined without justification. They didn't request any evidence and were more focused on discouraging my claim by threatening a policy increase. Olivia Burton will intimidate you and prevent you from proceeding with a legitimate claim, as they will not pay out for the claim I believe that's their internal policy as per reviews from customers and previous employees.
The claim handler was rude and insisted that my replacement bike must be under £1500 and the price can't be discounted, which is not stated in the policy. Even after I provided proof of forced entry and UK-based replacement bike links within the specified amount, my claim was denied again. They also misrepresented policy terms, unfairly categorizing necessary components as accessories. Their conduct was unprofessional, and they seemed determined to avoid a payout. I do not recommend Home Protect Insurance. Avoid at all costs. In my opinion, you will be better off without insurance as saving the money in premiums will compensate for future losses.”
