First, Mr. Bucciarelli asked us to declare a low value on his parcel so that he wouldn't have to pay any customs, then, when he ended up having to pay customs, he threatened to report us to the Italian authorities for declaring a low value on his parcel... unless, of course, we immediately PayPal-ed him the €30 he was charged by his own government. We went so far as to offer to credit him €30 towards his next purchase – a gesture, it was pointed out, no company in the world would entertain. But that was not good enough for Mr. Bucciarelli, unfortunately, and it still amounted to abominable customer care.
