Founded in 1986, our knitwear design house and manufacturing company is based in Melrose, in the Scottish Borders. We pride ourselves on championing Made in Scotland and have a dedicated fan base worldwide. “Just bought another cowl neck jumper - I have 2 already and love them. But the third one in bramble is quite a bit smaller than the other two which is disappointing.”

We do always recommend checking the size guides on the product page before ordering, as the Montrose Cowl Neck Sweaters were redesigned for AW25. This redesign introduced slightly different measurements, which is why the Bramble colourway may feel a bit smaller than your previous ones. We completely understand that this can be disappointing and really appreciate your understanding. If you’d like, we’d be happy to advise on the best size for you going forward. “The knitwear is of a superb quality with beautiful colour combinations. I take a size 10 and would recommend checking out the actual measurements before ordering as I take size S in the Alpine short sweater but, for the Westray, I would probably need size XS. The service is excellent. I now have 5 Alpine short sweaters and 2 Alpine hoodies! To say I am a fan would be an understatement!”

“I have 2 others of this sweater in different colours. They are all lovely but this one (Bramble) is slightly shorter than the other two and seems more tightly knitted. Really I would have preferred it to be as long as the others.”

“I really love my jumper, it looks lovely on. I’m an 8-10 and bought the M which is a good fit, the small would have been too small I think. The colour is gorgeous.”
