“’d like to feed back on a bit of confusion around what happened with this order, which was a seaweed bath booking. Not to complain, but because I think you’d want to know. I know you really care about everything you do, and I’ve been ordering things from you for a few years now and value the quality of your products and services.
Way back in March this year I made a booking online for the 2nd May for 2x seaweed baths at a cost of £79. However, the functionality for paying for the booking wouldn’t work, so I called the shop and asked to book and pay over the phone. The person was really helpful and made my booking but said I could pay on arrival. I really wanted to pay over the phone and asked to, to have to have it all done and dusted, but the person was insistent it was fine and no problem to pay on the day.
I received a booking confirmation email for the order (#7204704), which contained a link to pay, but this wouldn’t work either.
However, then, my parents wished to join us and asked me to book a place for them too. Now needing a booking for 4 people, I wanted to avoid confusion of making a further booking in the same name, so I called the shop again and asked to make my booking for the 2nd May at 11.30am, now for 4 people, and could I please pay the total amount on the phone.
The person was super helpful again and took a few moments to find out how to do a payment over the phone and then proceeded. It was also explained to me that the price of the seaweed bath had now gone up to £45 per person as of the 1st April, which was no problem at all – no issues with that. However, I was charged £45 x4, as I was told the total cost was £180.
I just went with this at the time because really it was all too much to explain that 2x places had been booked back in March, but I hadn’t been able to pay for them due to the link not working, not being able to pay over the phone etc.
I received confirmation by email 13th April for the 4x places at £180 #12776.
After all this, I was then really dismayed that when we arrived on the 2nd May for the seaweed baths, that my order was still marked pay on arrival. I showed my bank statement with the payment and explained. In the end it was all fine, but it just felt all a bit awkward. And, actually, I paid £10 extra than I should have had to.
I love Halen Mon and everything you do, so wanted to take the time to let you know about this. And I’m sure it was all just a series of glitches, so it won’t put me off coming for many more seaweed baths to come.
