I contacted Luka tools via facebook to purchase a zero clearance insert for my festool kapex 120 mitre saw , had a reply in minutes with a link to his page , very easy to order and within a day or 2 received it, on opening it I was surprised to find 2 in the package which was great to have a spare , it makes lining up cuts so much easier also any small slithers don’t fall into the saw

Hello, I would like to recommend you a great 90 degree or even 45 degree handle for grinding edges for any eccentric sander from Makita to Mirka from a small company in England called Iluca Tools and write a review about it, since probably most people don't even know that something it also exists. I specifically ordered this 90 st. the handle in the photos for the strongest, heaviest and therefore somewhat atypical sander Festool Rotex 150, for which in the original Festool shop 90 st. the edge sanding handle does not even produce. Not that I want to buy it just because of the lower price than the original Festool, but because of the fact that you can't even get it anywhere else. We will discuss the specific details of this sander with a handle at the end. So I took a risk and bought it from an English company that I didn't even know about until then. I will summarize my experience in 3 points. Let's look at the construction first. Dan, the owner of the small company Iluca Tools in England, makes these grinder handles on his 3D printer and designs them himself. For the fact that it is from a 3D printer, to my surprise it fit very precisely on the grinder, the grip strength is excellent and after tightening the two screws on each side of the grinder, the handle does not even move, it holds the angle perfectly and the material is also very hard. that I don't think it will crack even if it falls to the ground. There are some cosmetic flaws, but that's normal for any 3D printer product. It doesn't affect the functionality, it just looks like 3D printing. Nothing can be done about it. In terms of functionality, I grind very well with it and the angle on the ground edge is a perfect 90 degrees. The handle slides along the edge and does not make marks even on a finely polished surface, because it has a synthetic fabric attached to the side with velcro, which can be replaced (a spare one was included in the package). Before I started using this handle, I always had a problem maintaining a 90 degree angle on small edges of 1.8 cm - up to 3 cm and it didn't look pretty. Now it's a piece of cake! As for the price, it is certainly less than it would cost on the original pages from the store, even though original handles are not even made for some grinders. But the price is not that low, because after converting some 80 euros, you have to pay another 20 euros at the post office for customs from England, so to sum it up, for not that much money you get a super high-quality and personalized product that maybe you won't find it anywhere else. Now I will return to my atypical, heavy and powerful sander Festool Rotex 150, for which I ordered a handle and the problem I had with this particular sander. This grinder is so heavy that it grinds a 90 degree angle only when the handle on it has a bit more than a 90 degree angle. It's strange and I didn't know it, so I was quite surprised from the beginning (also because Dan, the owner, didn't write it anywhere on his website) and as soon as the handle arrived in the mail I wrote him a scared email that "the handle doesn't have exactly 90 degrees and it's slightly off" . It was great that Dan wrote back right away even though it was 10pm and explained that it was supposed to be because of the heavy weight of the sander and that it would grind 90 degrees even though the shaft is not exactly 90 degrees, so I tried it and found that he was right and it was grinding exactly 90 degrees. Despite that, I still wanted to test how it would grind when the handle was at exactly 90 degrees, so I asked Dan that I would need a new handle and I would convert the old one to exactly 90 degrees, if he would send me a new one. Dan sent me a new handle for free with no problems and now I have two at home for use, one with exactly 90 degrees for horizontal sanding and the other slightly over 90 for vertical sanding. I know it's science, but believe me, it's true. We also discussed it with Dan and he confirmed to me that this particular grinder has no other solution than this. But this is only the case with this particular Festool Rotex 150 sander and no other sander on the market has this in my opinion. Anyway, it's probably a tribute to quality from Festool... So that's my experience. When you have a grinder, whether Festool or Bosch, Makita, Mirka, Dewalt, Metabo, etc. so don't hesitate to order a handle for grinding precise edges from Iluca Tools. It's worth it!

Don’t buy these adapters! I bought both the 45 and 90 degree adapters. On the first set I received one of the flanges cracked when I mounted it for the first time. The other adapter didn’t fit at all. At first I got a quick response they would send me another set and that I would have to let them know if I had to pay import taxes for this second set. Indeed I had to pay another 60€ import taxes but when I let them know, I never got an answer from them, even after reminding them. Poor customer service. At first these andapters looked like a good alternative to the Festool sander with angular adapter. However, for the total cost I payed (products + 2x import taxes) compared to the quality of the products I would rather have invested more for a proper Festool solution.

The shipping was super fast. Unfortunately I had to pay 30€ for customs, which I could've figured out, but it would've been better to notify customers, that customs would have to be paid, if ordered outside of GB.

It seems to be pot luck whether you pay import duties or not but thank you for the feedback, I will add a note to the checkout page so that customer abroad are more aware.

This attachment makes sanding 90º not only quicker but far more accurate. It works as described and has become a shop favorite. We primarily use it for sanding the edges of cabinet doors. I had a little issue with the first one but Dan was quick to respond and remedy the problem. These folks stand behind their products which is awesome.

Iluka's 90 degree Festool sanding attachment has been a huge help with production work. Very accurate and easy to attach & remove! When the quick release clasp finally failed (after much use), Dan was very prompt in offering a free replacement. Cannot fault that customer service, was much appreciated.

We purchased a Metabo/Mirka 150mm Edge Sanding adaptor from these guys in October, which was brilliant. Eventually our adaptor failed which seemed to be a design fault or our fault we didn't know and we thought it was a lost cause. We sent a message to Dan at Iluka notifying him as to the failure and they replaced the item immediately and free of charge. Not only that but they've improved significantly on the design solving the previous issue. I don't foresee any problems with the new adaptor.

really bad, I've been waiting for the product for almost 1 month and there is no news about where it is. at ilukatools they only know how to make excuses. In other times they would have done a good job but I can say that today I do not recommend them!

Hi Manuel, I have emailed you with the tracking number twice and here it is again, https://www.correos.es/es/es/herramientas/localizador/envios/detalle?tracking-number=LO322080088GB I can see that it arrived in Spain on the 8th Decemeber. I have no control over the shipping company - please accept my apology dury this busy time, I'm sure it will arrive soon. If for some reason it is returned then I will choose a different shipping company or give you a full refund. Thanks for your understanding and Merry Christmas, Dan Iluka Tools

Had to return it because the quality of the finish was not to standard for a part that cost £70+ I understand it is 3d printed and that the printing process leaves a textured finish as the filament is layered but the item I received had large amounts of flashing that should be trimmed off in the finishing process. As a result, I did not find the part good value for money and returned for a refund. I cannot comment on the functionality as I did not use the part. I had to pay for return shipping.

I came across this attachment whilst searching for a solution for sanding edges using my Festool ETS EC 150 orbital sander (Festool only provide a dedicated edge sanding attachment for the ETS EC 125 orbital). Whilst I'm happy that I was able to find a solution, and opted to purchase the 90° option for a total delivered price of £91.74, the product that arrived was disappointing. I was aware before purchase that the product I was buying had been made on a 3-D printer, but no effort has been made to 'finesse' the finished product, literally taken off the printer and placed in a box for delivery. The edges are unfinished and corse, and the whole item has a feel of cheapness about it. If it had cost £30, I wouldn't complain, but at nearly £100, I expect more. The official Festool attachment for the ETS EC 125 sander has a better finish, complete with adjustability and is available currently for £128 delivered. A more realistic spec for the price, and all I can compare to in this niche market. Setting aside the finish of the product, the actual operation is unrefined, assembling the attachment to the sander can be fiddly and problematic due to the diameter of the bracket and shortness of the attached clasp. Once attached though, it seems to remain in place fairly well, although there is a small amount of flex between the two, so care still needs to be taken, although the end result is far superior to edges sanded without. To summarise, one of the few options for turning your Festool ETS EC 150 into a reasonably competent edge sander. In my opinion though, overpriced for what you get in comparison to other comparable products. To remain at this price, an improved finish, assembly capability and greater adjustability options are required. Or simply lower the price to £30 to reflect the lack of. I had ordered my attachment as a requirement for a project I was undertaking at the time, so had no option other than to use it, which is why the attachment was not returned. In all other aspects of my interactions with ILUKA tools, I was satisfied, website, ordering, communication and delivery all worked well.
