“The big bag of soil seems fine. It took a little bit of time to come and the driver said he would leave it on the pallet on the pedestrian public footpath. Pointing out,that is not acceptable for paedestrians having to walk on the road to get round it he obliged to leave it just inside the driveway.”

“Quick delivery of nice topsoil! I would have given 5 stars but was not informed by the local delivery firm of time or day of delivery, luckily we were in! We live in Scotland so different delivery firms used. Needed a part payment refund as I ordered too much which I received promptly. I would use this firm again.”
“Having ordered frommligs direct for over 5 years now we've seen a change in the bulk lig offers which we feel aren't as competitive as previous years. Service is always good, from ordering to delivery at home is usually about a week, however, recently this has been slightly longer.
The courier company used by logs direct change drivers frequently, which is expected. However, recently we've received no call from them 20 mins before to let us know they are arriving, meaning a frantic moving of cars off a driveway to accommodate the delivery.
It would be nice to have some form of loyalty scheme as we spend a large amount of money on logs and smokeless fuel so some form of loyalty discount scheme would be greatly appreciated”
“Logs are as expected and requested by me. My only gripe and it is a little one is that the delivery people call/text ETA.

“Hi there, we're long standing customers of yours, and big fans in general, you give a great service. one thing was that our last delivery of logs was wet, and not burning well. Big surprise as it's kiln dried hardwood. This is despite being double wrapped in sellophane (hope you're phasing out, this single use, non recyclable plastc?), and quickly taken inside. It's not usually like this.
Like to see you finding ways to reuse your bags too. We took you back some as we were on way to Scotland, but we'd collaborate with other local customers to send these back if you can enable?”
“Mostly good quality hardwood that still needs a bit of time to dry before it will burn properly. About 20% of the pieces are large root logs. While they are about 25cm long, they are almost equally wide (see picture; the right one is perfect) making them hard to fit into my wood burner. I tried to split them, but but they're too hard.
Delivery was difficult. Logsdirect informed me that they had delivered to the local depot. No further indication was given as to the delivery date. Two days later, while at work, I got a call from a driver who wanted to deliver the logs. As I can't teleport home, he offered me to cancel the delivery or to drop it with a neighbour. Both not great options for a pallet full of wood. Further discussion got him to leave the pallet in front of my house.
Overall, good wood (5 stars) but delivery and consistent sizing need work (-1 star)”
“Some logs are very big for a small stove. Good service, but lacking in the communications department especially on the delivery. I would like to have more than 10 minutes notice before they arrive. Telling me the day before delivery would be ideal Having said that delivery guy was lovely.”
