Where do I begin:
1. You wont be able to text short numbers, you can receive texts from short numbers, but if you try to send a *stop* message - it won't work.
2. They most likely paying lowest possible prices for NOT enough frequencies, the coverage absolute garbage, even moving along my street I loose connection.
3. If there is a disaster or higher volume of calls in the area you can forget about YOUR service, it wont have any bandwidth left for Lycamobile.
4. Customer service absolute trash, they repeat your question after you, however, they may not even comprehend what you asking, at least I spend countless hours with no results on multiple issues, oh my bad, i was told that i can not text *PREMIUM* numbers, that be short numbers as we call it.
They would open a ticket for you , spam your email and text inbox, but that is IT !!!! there no resolution..
5. in one days : 5 customer service agent gave ( made up ? ) 5 different answers to ONE same question... you would wonder if that is even possible, yeah, try lyca - you will be amused...
6. IT WAS CHEAP !!! OMG they got me on that one - my loss.

“Dreadful customer service who know very little about anything. I had issues when roaming abroad and they didn't help at all. Just kept sending me texts telling me that my issue was Resolved when it wasn't. Had to contact them time and time again but to no avail. I'm now looking for another provider. I suggest you do, too.”

“Customer Service is trash! I had an issue with my data and they said the problem would be resolved by the end of the day. I got a text saying the issue was resolved and the ticket was closed. Turns out they did absolutely nothing and just closed the ticket. I had to call again and place another ticket in for the same issue and wait another 24 hours.”

I bought a 1 month top up in June scheduled to expire in July 2019
For the past 18 months they have been taking 20 pound a month off my bank account
I have contacted them repreatedly begging them to cancel account which I have not used since July 2019
at first they said they couldnt that my bank had to do it.
My bank is unable to cancel the account
Now they have acknowledged that they can but refuse to refund me the 300 pounds they stole from me
AND THEY CONTINUE TO STEAL THE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT!!!!!”

“They took over Toggle Mobile, which was a good company, allowing you to have permanent phone numbers in different countries for a small yearly fee. Their website used to work great, their customer service was good. This scam of a company, Lyca, took them over and it's been hell since. Every time I log in, my account data is inaccessible. I have to talk to one of their useless customer reps and they sometimes fix it, at least for a few days. Now, I am getting UK charges on the CC I have with them (I don't live in the UK) and I am getting tons of spam in the email account they have for me. It looks to me like the worst telecom company I have ever dealt with and it seems I am not alone based on the average reviews and this video:

“just look at them pics what they've. simple order.. just one.. yes and the payment is unknown. money taken right away. It use to come back but, I called them, cant say yea.. like 7 minutes aprox. alright then him, typical indian man, you cant miss the accent. after constant lies frok him he ended the call whilst me talking. so yeaaaaaa Lycamobile.. am giving rights to keep that tenner. spend it well, but am done with you.

“Started out alright and was fine for a couple of years but recently my credit disappeared after a few days. This happened several times after topping up account. There were doubtful transactions on my phone and data usage records for the months that this happened. Lycamobiles help operators were unable to explain the transactions in a coherent manner or in plain English. Some of what they said didn't make sense in English at all. When a manager finally contacted me it was too late. I'd already made the decision to switch providers. I would not recommend Lycamobile based on their customer service and their complicated processes and poor website.”
“Customer service and their website is really bad. I am happy with their bundles but I seriously considering to change to another provider. On internet, many times fails to make payments and customer services are quite poor.
When you explain them the facts, they just tell you it is a problem of your card and bank account. I paid to several sites with my card and in all of them is good. Just in Lycamobile, and in three months in a row, give me problems issues.
I spent £3 credit from my phone trying to make the payment of the bundle but as said, their website is not good.”

I wanted to port in my number to LycaMobile. The agents didn't know the process and created multiple duplicate port in numbers. The port in is still in process even after a week!! Now I have no service from previous provider and from LycaMobile. When called, all they could do was apologize and ask me to wait for another 48 hours without any service. Uneducated about their own policies and processes. If you are getting a new number, it may work. But never port in your existing number. Horrible!!!
Now the number is ported out of ATT. LycaMobile now says that this cannot be ported in at all as it is now inactive. Incompetency that cannot be reviewed. Stay away from LycaMobile. Till now no reply or communication as promised by the comment from LycaMobile!
Customer Service hangs up the call when they cannot provide resolution.”
