“Very enthusiastic and convincing sales people, but after consulting with my wife and my credit union I decided not to enroll in the services. After several emails and phone calls I still cannot get anybody to return my call and confirm that I'm unenrolled in this program.”
“Make sure to read the fine print. The settled amount could be less than 50% with your creditors and you'll more than likely show late payments on your credit score. When I reviewed the "agreement", almost $6,000 was going to be paid out to Pacific Debt. Make sure you weigh your choices carefully. In the end, my credit card interest is less than paying a 3rd party company to settle debt on credit cards I'm current on. I was even hung up on when I explained that I knew what this would do to my credit & didn't see why I would pay almost $6,000 to have a 3rd party settle on my credit cards, when I can do that myself. He told me credit card companies don't do that. Yes, yes they do. I was a manager for a sub-prime credit card company. We did settlements and temporary payment plans ALL THE TIME. If it looks too good to be true, IT IS!! I opted out within the 3 day window. Do not recommend!!!”
