“Southport branch are rude and didn't like me taking my car to my own mechanic after they failed it's MOT. Not surprising as they said the exhaust needed replacing and 2 mechanics have said there is nothing wrong with it. It's now passed it's MOT and I certainly should have listened to people telling me to avoid Protyre. Lesson learned.”
“Used the Plymouth protyre and I'd rather buy a new car then return.
They lied about the time frame for fixing the car. They said 1 week it was 2 before they even looked at it and then a final week to fix it.
Staff are rude and not friendly. The manager wanted a chat with my 18 yr old about the Google review she left and he was so hostile and agreessive.
Avoid at all cost.”
“Advertised as motorcycle fitting on loose wheels. Got to workshop, they don't do fitting to loose wheels. My local branches DO not advertise this feature so I didn't go there I went to Sittingbourne miles put of way because they apparently do. Complete joke, waste of time, money and environment.”
“I have never visited a garage this unprofessional in Slough.
Broke my locking nut and blamed the previous fitter for tightening wheel too tight. Had to buy a new one from the local dealer for £41. End up spending half a day, that was originally 1 hour job.
Did the wheel alignment and made the steering wheel go off centre.
Asked me to come at 1.30 pm to fix the steering issue, and when arrived, told me there was a 45 minutes wait, if I came at 4.30 pm, my car could be checked right away. Returned at 4.30, first denied that they couldn't check the car as it was not in the system, and later, made me wait 45+ minutes before fixing the car.
And the worst part is, not on a single occasion shown courtesy of apologising for their wrongdoings and terrible customer service.
Very unprofessional borderline cowboys.
I strongly advise DON'T go to this tyre shop. There are plenty of decent garages in Slough, with manners and customer service!”
“Totally disgusting, said 4 tyres needed passed MOT in December and had brand new brand new tyres on,said 4mm under as no way as one damage on outside and was aligned correctly.was bloody rude and a total dick, feel sorry for the apprentice who knackered wheel nut”

“Rude and totally unhelpful staff, slow shoddy service. Extremely long queues, put on a tyre which was faulty. Undoubtedly the worst service I have ever experienced.”
“They tried to sell me £840 worth of replacement brake discs and pads when they failed my MoT for braking efficiency. The Council-run MoT centre (who have no incentive to flog me stuff) tested the brakes and they passed with flying colours.”
“My daughter hit the kerb this morning whilst ravelling to work and damaged 2 tyres beyond repair and also suffered a nasty ding in one of the alloy wheels.
I ordered two new tyres from Protyre Buckley and presented them with the problem.
They could not have been more helpful, providing same day fitting for my choice of tyres and carefully inspecting the damaged wheel to ensure safety.
Fortunately the wheel was not buckled and damage was only cosmetic.
She has the car back this afternoon, all sorted efficiently and economically - Thanks Protyre!”
