Poor service - poor quality - poor everything Requested 2kg beef shin to make a Bourginion over Christmas for family meal. Asked for the meat to be cut as I don’t have the equipment at home to deal with it. Was half way through the prep and it came to adding the beef. I cannot tell you how awful the meat was. Full of gristle, pieces the size of sausages, tough skin on every piece, it was just impossible to make the meal, so I had to resort to something from the freezer for that evening meal!! I had sadly expected my meat to be superior to Tesco, having it trimmed nicely for eating in the old fashioned butchery way, but I would have had more success with Tesco. On complaining to Salters, firstly I was told that what I had received was actually not acceptable and they would refund. Then we were told on a separate chase up call ‘the boss said we don’t give refunds’. Tesco would have refunded without quibble for the sake of their good reputation. Buyer beware what goes into your bag!! Grossly disappointing!!

While it’s true that we’re a small team and the lead-up to Christmas was exceptionally busy, we value every customer and will strive to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We’re equally sorry to hear that the beef shin you purchased was not up to our usual standard. We would always offer a refund for a product that fails to meet expectations, and it seems there may have been a mix-up in our communications about this. If you purchased the item from our shop, please do give us a call so that we can resolve this for you straight away. Once again, we apologise for your disappointing experience and hope to have the opportunity to make things right.

Not used the product yet. Needed to freeze on delivery as all my order was warm as delivery company not only missed by a whole day to get my order to me, they also missed their own delivery time by a full 2hr on top of being 24 late early evening the next day. Where was my order stored overnight - clearly not in cold storage.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we put a lot of care and attention into how we package our products before they are sent out. Very occasionally, things don't always go to plan but we will always endeavour to do all we can to rectify any delivery problems as soon as we hear about them. We have since spoken to you were pleased to hear you enjoyed your products despite the disappointment with the delivery.
