About ScratchSleeves:

ScratchSleeves are invaluable in coping with itchy, scratchy babies and children. The smooth silk mitts minimise damage, allowing your little one's skin time to heal, while the sleeve design ensures that ScratchSleeves stay firmly in place. Stopping babies, toddlers and young children scratching themselves can be a real challenge, especially as they get older and can take off traditional scratch mitts.

ScratchSleeves are effective for all sorts of scratching and irritation including eczema, chicken pox, scab-picking, post-operative healing, ear pulling and poking, overly enthusiastic thumb sucking and even hair pulling.

“These have been a godsend for our little boy and his eczema. He was waking up from naps covered in blood from all the scratching, no matter how short his nails were, and he was a little Houdini getting out of wraps or integrated scratch mitts. Scratch Sleeves have been the only thing that have stayed on and the silky fabric means he can't 'exfoliate' his poor sensitive skin either! Just wish I'd known about them sooner!”

“Our eldest daughter developed baby trich just after turning two years old. We would find balls of hair in her hand and almost always discover a ball or two in her bed in the morning, after a night's sleep. We believe the trich was a settling mechanism for her, as she did not have a favourite soft toy or comforter. She would suck her fingers on one hand, while the other hand would play with her hair. We tried a number of things to try and encourage her to stop, but the difficult time to deal with was nighttime, when she would pull her hair whilst half asleep. It was a stressful and upsetting period as parents. However, we discovered scratchsleeves and introduced them at sleep time. The physical barrier that the sleeves provided solved the problem at night and nap time. I don't know where we would be without them. We could not recommend them highly enough. Our second daughter also started showing a tendency for playing and pulling her hair, at around one and half years old. We were able to introduce scratchsleeves straight away. Both children now seem to have lost their tendency to go for their hair. However, now five and three years old, up until just recently, the girls have still been wearing their sleeves at night, as it was part of their routine and they were happy to do so. However, just last week, we stopped using them and so far so good. Thank you for a wonderful product.”

“Got one size too big (stick to babies actual size) but has my bubba sleeping a LOT better and skin healing. Routine is water wash, junior oilatum massage, scratch sleeves, swaddle, massage again, sleep. He is now 13 months and has been sleeping from 8.30pm to 6am waking up only once because he's either cold or thirsty for the last two weeks. Finally, mummy's tired body is recuperating!!”

“As a mom of kids with eczema, scratch sleeves were lifesavers. My one yr. old daughter has egg allergy and would scratch her neck and arms and hands and feet until they bleed. I tried to trim her nails but it is really hard to keep a baby still to do it daily. I tried putting mittens and socks on her hands, but she is old enough to take them off right away. The allergist recommended some other clothing that covers the whole body, but it was super expensive. That’s why I was very happy to find scratchsleeves. I have the sleeves and the tops. The sleeves run big, and she was able to take it off. But we sewed some buttons on it and made it stay on. Definitely recommend for anyone dealing with eczema.”

“We've used these on my son since he was three months old he's now 14 months old. These have been life changing for him he can no longer scratch and infect his eczema. If he's getting tierd at nursery they put his scratch sleeves on and he happily goes to sleep with out causing any harm to his face or legs They are super soft and wash really well.”

“These are amazing. I don't have to worry about my daughter making herself bleed at night. Her skin improved so much more by wearing these too. I wish they were a little bit cheaper as I only bought the one pair and really really want to buy more.”

“Bought this for my daughter cause she’s been scratching her wrists and ankles until bleeding. She got confused when she wears the sleeves but after a while she got over it. But she manage to get her arms out so make sure you get the right size for your little ones!”

“Exactly what I was looking for. Stopped my 6 month old boy from scratching his face and legs. He would take mittens off in seconds where as the sleeves stay on. Perfect fit and washes well. Would highly recommend.”

“The sleeves were purchased for my 8 month old granddaughter who was going to Turkey with her parents for a week’s holiday. Previously it was necessary to keep her in long sleeves and leggings to deter her from on scratching but the sleeves meant she cd wear all the pretty dresses and shorts and be as cool as all the other children. Her skin has really improved as a result of the exposure and inability to scratch. The mits are soft and silky and she accepted wearing them quite quickly. Definitely would have been a different holiday experience without them. Now that she is home they will continue to be worn when her little legs and arms are bare. A brilliant, simple idea that really works.”

“My baby grandson, age 5 months is very troubled with itchy eczema and trying to keep him from scratching requires several hands. Socks don't stay on his hands. The scratchmits stay on and are so soft and have made a big difference. His mummy has found the information about eczema on the site useful too.”

“My baby suffers from eczema since he was 2.5 months old. He cannot stop scratching even while sleeping. We always keep his nails short and put the mitten on during the night and his napping time, but now he can take off the mitten by himself and wake up in the morning with scratch all over his arms and legs. Glad we bought the scratchsleeves, this the only thing which can stop him from scratching. Highly recommended for anyone who suffers from eczema and have itchy skin.”
