About ScratchSleeves:

ScratchSleeves are invaluable in coping with itchy, scratchy babies and children. The smooth silk mitts minimise damage, allowing your little one's skin time to heal, while the sleeve design ensures that ScratchSleeves stay firmly in place. Stopping babies, toddlers and young children scratching themselves can be a real challenge, especially as they get older and can take off traditional scratch mitts.

ScratchSleeves are effective for all sorts of scratching and irritation including eczema, chicken pox, scab-picking, post-operative healing, ear pulling and poking, overly enthusiastic thumb sucking and even hair pulling.

“I bought the little cardigans then moved onto the pj tops for my daughter. She tugs her hair quite a lot with her right hand while sucking her left thumb. Wearing the cardigans worked well at stopping her pulling her hair until she started pulling the cardigans off so I bought the pj tops and they are perfect as she knows she can't pull them off. She has been using them for over a year now, she's 2 years old. I'll continue to use them until she stops pulling her hair. Great customer care when I had to contact the company. Many thanks.”

“I purchase twice for my 2 years old child who has severe eczema. I don’t think the sizes are true to size because I got 2-3 years old it was huge, then I got 21-24months, it was too small. So I’m really confused with the sizes. And the material makes you feel very warm, was expecting a better quality of cotton. Rating it 1 star because my daughter likes the stripes,”

I'm sorry that you haven't been able to get a good fit. If you can drop us a line with the batch numbers (above the size on the sewn in labels), we can investigate futher. I've checked the stock that we have here in those sizes and colours and the size increment is as expected so I'm wondering if there is a one-off problem with stock we sent you.

“Purchased 2x size age 13-14 pyjama tops for my daughter, one closed sleeve, one open. She prefers to be able to expose her hadns if she needs to, and despite being a very slim and small 12 year old, these were a little small on her. So purchased two more, open hands. They seem to help protect her skin from night scratching of her profoundly severe eczema..my only criticism is to please consider expanding your design range”

Thank you for your feedback. We are a small business and so cannot stock a huge range. Our products are carefully designed and a lot of thought has been put into selecting our range of products to ensure that we cater to as many needs as possible. However we are always open to suggestions.

“Ordered 2 x Scratch sleeves for my 7 month old Grandson who suffers terribly with Eczema. Beautifully made, arrived quickly and do seem to help with constant scratching of his face during the night. The silk mittens are soft and do not cause as much damage to his face as cotton mittens.”

“These scratch sleeves are good but I find that the silk mittens should be extended higher up the arm as I bought the 6-9 months and it is slightly big for my 7 month old so she still uses the cotton part of the sleeve to rub her face red and sore”

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We do have ScratchSleeves with mitts that extend further up the arm. These do however start at 9-12 months, (We are planning to introduce a smaller size in a few months time) but please drop us an email and we can set up an order for a custom set, made with longer silk mitts for you.

“Really impressed with the product. There was an issue with one of my items and this was quickly resolved by the team. These vests have stopped my baby scratching to the point of bleeding. I was initially reluctant to buy due to the price but it is so worth it!”

“The striped pj top is fantastic. Stops my little one pulling her hair to self soothe at bed time. Only thing is I ordered a 3-4 for her age however the fit is big so I will size down next time. Other than that it's been a massive help.”

“I cannot tell you the difference this made for our daughter. She was 8 months old when we bought the first pyjama set and has now just turned 1. She naps and sleeps in it everyday. She had such awful eczema and would wake herself up constantly from scratching. We've found that not being able to scratch makes her not want to scratch. When the eczema has been really bad she's worn the pj top during the day as well and hasn't cared about not having her hands. We will continue to use these pyjamas for a long time. She's just a much happier child!”

“The scratch sleeves are total lifesaver! Our wee one has suffered with eczema since she was less than a year old so we have had both custom made sleeves and ones from the website. They are all wonderful and last ages. The communication is always great from the team and we will be using the sleeves for many years to come.”
