“Customer service was great as I was updated regarding a cargo freight delay and provided with different options. When it was sent out for delivery it arrived very quickly and I was provided with updates on it's arrival.”
“I really like my new Spiral bag. I was seduced on Instagram by the ads for it and so I got a Black Transporter Deluxe Backpack, which fits the kind of journeys I make.
Active and varied with a work laptop and a variety of lunching and sporting paraphernalia. I usually have a lunch box, a laptop computer, swimming towel, trunks and goggles. Then all the usual phones, pens, wallets, tissues etc. Sometimes I’ll carry more and sometimes less. This bag can do all that. It can flex to different size and looks smart all the way.
On the design of the bag, I find the handle at the top a bit too small for my hands. It seems undersized to carry by hand and often on the Underground where I cannot wear it on my back, because it would whack into people’s faces on a crowded tube, so, I take it off my back and carry this bag by hand. I am not convinced the handle will last. However most other features are excellent. I like the feel of the rubbery or waterproof material. Of course I like the sleek colour, the adaptability, and the simplicity of its fastenings. I hope these last with frequent and heavy usage. It’s too early for me to say as I have only had this bag for about two weeks now. I find looking into a deep black bag for all my items a bit frustrating as I need good lighting to see what is lurking in the depths of my bag. I have had a few lunch box leaks and the bag recovers from that kind of leakage within the bag.
Beyond the bag I must comment on the delivery. I ordered online and was initially under the impression it would arrive quickly. I had ordered this bag late at night and after drinking too, so I was not quite sure in memory after a few weeks of waiting if I had ordered it or not. Investigating my accounts the money had gone but one month later and no bag had arrived.
Eventually I wrote to SPRIAL asking where is my bag? They insisted they had told me it was late in being delivered. I said, well I did not know. Eventually I found emails from Spiral explaining the delivery was going to be late as their container shipping new bags had been blocked in customs. They apologised and offered me options. Either my money back, an alternate product or a further wait and an extra bag. I went for the wait and an extra little bag, which I doubt I’d ever use. In any case, SPIRAL was very apologetic and went to town on explaining their service and turnaround.
I must say the staff handling my queries were very kind and helpful and I do think their word was kept and their product is worth raving about. Their aftercare was good.
So, I cannot score top marks, because I did experience quite a few hitches and I do have some concerns about the bag, but it is probably the nicest bag I have had in years and very well suited to my active cycling, swimming and working lifestyle. So, thank you SPIRAL!!!”
