My company, Bio Hazard Plus Crime Scene Clean Up, LLC hired The Web Founders to take over and build up my existing website. It was a Wordpress site, so they reconstructed it to a PHP website. I was charged $2500 for the initial services. After the initial move over to PHP site, they added a bunch of features to the site. There was a discrepancy with another company in which the design looked very similar, so they had to change the design on the website and charged me another $1,000. As time progressed, they suggested other services and charged me $1,000 each time. They never gave a solid timeframe in which they would have my site up and running. They promised to complete all work within 60 days. Each time I asked for an update, they had not made the changes that I requested. That 60 days turned into almost two years. I was referred to multiple people in the company to address the issues that I had, to no avail. Each person would refer me to another person, and we went back and forth. Nigel Williams would indicate that Jason Brown was in charge of the project. Jason Brown would turn around and say Nigel was in charge. Jay Singh was also involved and passed the buck back and forth between him and Jason Brown. When I asked who was the owner of the company because I was tired of getting the run around, they would not respond. We had several zoom meetings to discuss the updates that I needed for the site, and the team indicated they recorded each session and took notes; however, whenever I asked for proof of the changes or updates, they could not provide any. Instead, they continued to ignore the issues I brought to them, and continuously delayed the website updates. They would make minor updates, just enough to say they did some work; however, they never fulfilled their contractual obligation. After almost two years of going back and forth with this company, I requested a refund of $2500 for the work still not done that I contracted them to do. Initially, they refused to give me a refund, citing they had done the work. When I proved to them, they had not done the work, they agreed to issue the refund. However, they insisted on not providing me with a refund immediately and requested that I wait two weeks before they would refund me. When I contested to the two-week timeline for the refund, they then agreed to have the refund deposited into my account by August 1, 2023. In addition to the refund, I requested that they release my website back to me so that I could find another dedicated server provider. They indicated they could not move data off their site because it was in the test site. So, I hired GoDaddy to be new dedicated server. I provided The Web Founders with the new dedicated server information and granted access to Nigel Williams so that he could move off their server onto GoDaddy server. When I checked to see if any work had been done, I discovered that they had not made the updates that they agreed to make.

Update: I just received an email from reviews.io saying 'Thank you for your review, would you mind revising it or changing your rating now your issue has been dealt with.' My issue has not been dealt with, I have not heard or received any communication or refund from this company. However, since my 'genuine' reviews were verfied by trustpilot (thewebfounders tried to have them removed), they are no wdefaming my business by writing, nasty fake reviews (about a service I have not done for over 2 years, difficult to do online!) The webfounders are scammers, do your research, read trustpilot review reviews, both .com and UK! They do not have real offices it is just a company house. STAY AWAY or you will loose your money too! They stole £5000 and just read another person got scammed £5000 as well! Last Nov 'Jack Wayne' offered me a refund in installments to take my 1 star reviews down, when I said I would after I had my full refund, not heard or had any money back..it was a fake bribe! See attached doc! Terrible customer service, unresponsive to emails, (even before I requested a refund)! I signed up based on what I know now was lies....terrible experience!

Unfortunately this company is a scamming operation housed in virtual offices in London and New York. I paid GBP 5000 for an Elite website but, after three months, there was nothing to show for it except further requests for money. In the beginning they denied my request to visit them in person by saying the designers were working from home due to covid. Eventually I went to the London office address only to find it is a virtual office for over 100 companies. The lady running the office suggested I contact the Police.

I am a solo owner of a small business as like most already hit financially by the pandemic. I paid £5000 August 12th, 21 for a fully automated website and video conferencing. Within in a few days of paying the red flags started to show. I found out quite a lot of mistruths including when I signed up, I chose the web founders as they listed big name clients on their website (since been talen down as I challenged them on it!!) With the lies, their lack of response to emails, and not even able to duplicate a logo amd homepage I designed and sent, to this day never seen or heard anything about it. Hence wanting a refund as the contract and in writing: 100% satisfaction guaranteed, 100% money back guaranteed...definitely not satisfied or they refuse to refund. I had an offer of installments but omly if I took my bad (genuine) reviews down! I said I would do this after I had my full refund..never heard anything else since and still no refund.

Stay away from this company, I got scammed out of £5000. I was fed lots if lies, including they said clients were hyndai, sainsbury..big name companies (since been taken down off their site), all documented evidence. Do your homework, read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau site! Read my genuine, factual reviews (1 star) on trustpilot. The web founders did offer a bribe for me to take them down but when I said I would not until I received a full refund not heard from them/ 'Jack Wayne' (they have fake names too)! STAY AWAY..

This is a review that the webfounders did not like...only has the truth. Would be happy and confident if it became a court case as I have documentation to support my comments!! Still no response or refund since I said I was not goint to be bribed to take down my 1 star 'genuine' reviews, they have bascially validated they are scammers! 'Please do your research, this company will scam you, they have taken £5000 from me and no website. They refuse to refund it even though I have a contract that states '100% money back gurantee',I am a sole trader, it has ruined me and my business. If they were a genuine company, they would respond to emails, nothing. For those that have been scammed please report it to Fraud Alert for their investigation, Trading Standards etc. they should not be allowed to get away with. The business address is a company house, not offices, and although I have documentation that the work was done in this country (UK) it is done in Pakistan, which is fine...but why lie about it! Please do not let them scam you too!'

Ditto to a recent review about the web founders, terrible company..stay away! I have been 'scammed', no website, no logo, no refund and no response/ignoring emails. I paid £5000 for a video conferencing package unfortunately there are too many issues for me to write here, but after 6 weeks being no further forward than day 1 along with having confirmation that (so far) a website they showed me had not been produced by the web founders but another company, I requested a refund. The company is registered in New York, I contacted the Better Business Bureau, there is a case against the web founders of which they are not responding and I believe there has been past issues. I have reported my issue to the Police and an investigation is under way. I had lots of information to pass on including names/contact info of all those involved along with contacts in the US! Also reported to Trading Standards.
