Receptionist was very polite and amenable The staff Nurse is a colleague of mine in the NHS for 30+ years. It is my trust in her and respect for her that led me to Veincentre- I know that she would not entertain an association with a service which was less than proficient. The Vascular Surgeon appears competent and knowledgeable.....

Just had my consultation in the Exeter Veincentre and all went well. They were nice and helpful and I'm now looking forward to having the procedure.

Good first impressions- I was well looked after by the receptionist, and given sound advice during the consultation. One star lost for the 20 minute wait, although the view over Park Square was good!

I felt no real pain having the procedure done and they were all very friendly with no complaints from myself. I did become worried as the weeks went by because I had painful swelling below my right knee, that at this date I still have. The Consultant did explain to me at the six week check-up that this was good, the swelling would eventually go down and would clear. I certainly hope so.

The Brighton Centre was very welcoming and professional. Can't say the same for the head office customer services. I was told I couldn't book the date the doctor had given me because he hadn't given the correct time scale. I was told they would check with him and get back to me but I still had to pay, and I have since heard nothing.

Staff were polite and informative. I was told I would need treatment for ovarian varicose veins before the ones in my legs could be done. This would have to be done privately at the local hospital. However the consultant did not know how much this would cost and he would email me as soon as he found out. That was two weeks ago.

The Doctor and the Nurse were very professional and informative and I felt they gave me all the information that I needed to decide to book the treatment. Unfortunately that day on Reception the system went down so they could not book my next appointment or pay the consultation fee and percentage of the of the treatment fee. They said someone would ring me back the following day to offer me appointments for my treatment, but nobody did and had to phone back myself.

While we do keep to a time schedule, in the event that an appointment should need more time, this is something that we always consider and regularly accommodate. Very friendly staff put me at my ease. Very attractive modern facility. Ample parking in a pleasant area. Treatment options explained well. Only problem was difficulty receiving information through the e-mail attachments.

It was all a good experience from reception to my consultation. The Dr seemed quite professional. But my consultation was on one of the coldest days of the year it wasn't very warm in the building. The specialist told me my legs were fine, but unfortunately with it being cool my veins I am troubled with seemed to be on their best behaviour. But I did feel the Dr could have examined the side of my leg I was most concerned with. He didn't seem at all worried about any of my veins. I felt disappointed that nothing was going to happen to improve my veins that cause trouble in summer.

Good morning,  Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.  I am glad to hear that you had a good experience from reception to your consultation. However, I am sorry to hear that the building wasn’t very warm. I will pass this valuable feedback on to our team to avoid this happening in the future.  In regards to the consultation and scan, please be reassured that our consultants are highly experienced in this process and the examination that takes place is thorough. As this is an open platform I am unable to go into detail about your specific case, however upon review, following the duplex ultrasound scan our consultant confirmed that there are no faulty valves inside your veins, and that your veins are actually healthy. We would never recommend treatment to healthy veins, as performing treatment could actually make these veins look worse which we would absolutely not want to happen. I hope this explanation helps, but I have passed this over to our clinic manager who will be in touch in case you have any further questions or queries you would like answering.  Best wishes, Emily
