Don't purchase from this company. They substitute cheap items and refuse to refund. Spent considerable money and upgraded the liquor in the gift basket that was supposed to have fancy chocolates. Got cheap bottle of whiskey and Hersheys. I should have looked up reviews. It's a scam. They intentionally advertise high end products and switch them out for cheap stuff to make more money and have written in their terms and conditions that you can't do anything about it. They literally told me sometimes the entire contents are substituted.

This company does not stand behind their product. I received a gift basket with high end chocolates that were stale. I sent a picture to the company of the chocolates showing the white and cracked item and told them they also taste stale. they said they will not replace the chocolates because everyone has different tastes. i had to throw them out. i feel badly that my friend spent alot of money on what she thought was going t be a nice gift. do not order from this company

I am extremely disappointed with my recent order and the way I was treated. I strongly advise against ordering from this company. They failed to take responsibility for their mistakes and only responded with generic replies. The situation involved a special gift for my daughter, who was away from home on her birthday for the first time. I ordered a gift and, at checkout, added a cake as an extra. I specifically requested that the cake be delivered on August 17th, and this was confirmed by the company. However, the gift was delivered a day early, on August 16th, to the mailroom, with no notification sent to my email or my phone. When my daughter found the gift, the cheesecake was covered in mold and smelled unpleasant. Instead of addressing the issue, the company, including representatives Robert and Rica, asked for a picture of the moldy cheesecake, despite the tracking information clearly showing that it was left on the floor of the mailroom on August 16th. The lack of accountability and the poor customer service have left me very dissatisfied. Avoid ordering from them at least in Seattle! They are terrible.

I echo recent negative reviews and would not recommend this company to anyone. The company does not require next day shipment on perishable items. The gift that was received was not next day. Delivery time was a few days. The shipment box does not have PERISHABLE ITEMS IDENTIFICATION - only has HANDLE WITH CARE THIS SIDE UP. And what company thinks that fruit will not spoil in shipment, even if it is next day, with each item tightly wrapped in plastic, basket tightly wrapped in plastic, in sealed box with basket packed in styrofoam peanuts in record heat. They hide behind their terms and agreements, which are buried under the FAQ section. My attempt to resolve via email finally resulted in a 50% refund on the value of the perishable items from the required photos which were sent via email. Their business model seems to say it is luxury with no company integrity to ensure quality products are sent/received. Email communication deflect responsibility for poor quality products to the customer, referring FAQs and to terms and agreements and asking for more evidence. This is definitely not a luxury gift company.

I ordered a bottle of champagne in a box w gift card - promised and paid for 2 business day delivery and it took 5 business days. The surprise was ruined as I need to contact my friend to let her to know to look out for the delivery as she and her family were leaving to go out of the country. Customer service was useless and sent scripted answers and didn’t directly answer my queries. Luckily the gift arrived just before her family left for the airport but the whole experience was negative especially for the high cost. Wish I had read this site before I used Yorkvilles - I will NEVER order from them again!

I ordered a food gift basket to be delivered to my daughter and son in law while they were on vacation in Maine. As their anniversary is on a holiday, I requested that if the delivery couldn't be done on that day, it be made on the day before; and if neither was possible, to please contact me to figure out what to do. Yorkville's did not contact me, and did not deliver the package by the anniversary. When I reached customer service to inquire, they informed me that the package had been mis-routed to their West Coast warehouse, and would be delivered the following week. This defeated the purpose of sending a gift basket for a special occasion, but having no other option, I let it go. The gift basked was delivered the next week, fortunately while they were still at the delivery address. Unfortunately, all the perishable items were melted and ruined, since there was no protection for shipping food items during the summer. This alone is pretty incredible, but even worse, Yorkville's refused to offer a refund unless we submitted photographs documenting the damage. That is, they required that I ask my daughter and son in law to take ruined items out of the trash to take photos of them. It's hard to believe that a company sending food gift baskets is run like this, but that's what happened. Apparently, and despite their homey advertising, Yorkville's is an impersonal corporation, so buyer beware. I almost never submit online reviews, but this was such a disappointing experience that I thought I should warn potential customers looking for good products and service when sending gifts to loved ones on important occasions.

Awful sham company. DO NOT USE. Paid a lot for a pirate captain box with extras add ons. Paid extra to have it delivered to a hotel on a certain day. We would only be at that location for one day so it was important for delivery to be on that specified day. I never received any order confirmation and had to contact the company to make sure they had my order and make sure the details were correct. When I called customer service and requested them to email me the details they said they would but never did. On the day of delivery, we never received the basket. I tried to contact them again that evening about it with no success. The next morning we had to check out of our hotel, and the basket had still not been delivered. yorkvilles responded to me at this point and they gave me a tracking number (which I would not have gotten if I didn't get a hold of them). This so called tracking number said it delivered the basket about an half hour after we left. I contacted the hotel to let them know that the basket was said to be delivered and that they could keep the contents of the basket for their staff since we would not be back in that area. I was told they never received any basket. I contacted yorkvilles again to ask for a refund and they stopped responding. I also inquired with the hotel again over the next few days to make sure they had or had not received anything, and was repeatedly told nothing was received from yorkvilles. Tried contacting yorkvilles again and they gave me a snippet of their non refund policy and said they can't be held accountable for delivery mistakes or porch pirates. Just a terrible experience overall, I wasted a lot of money for absolutely no result. Companies like this are why 0 star ratings should be available, they don't even deserve the 1 star I had to give them.

Delivery was late from what the check out indicated and I had to email them 4-5 times to get any tracking info. They kept sending back generic automatic answers.

This is essentially a sham company that has no interest in delivering what they advertise. Closest thing I have experience to blatant theft. BUYER BEWARE. AVOID. I ordered a Luxury Spa basket delivered across the country to my friend for a very special birthday. The contents were substituted for awful lavender items which we had been careful to avoid when choosing the particular basket. It was very expensive, as was delivery. Customer service simply quoted their substitution policy to me when I contacted them - they offered zero assistance, zero interest in making it right. It was the most disdainful customer service experience I have encountered for an online service. They knew when they were putting this rubbish together that they were ripping off a customer - THEY DO NOT CARE. They’re happy to pull a fast one on you as a customer and betray the trust you put in a vendor to deliver the product advertised.

I spent almost two hours scouring various websites in search of the perfect gift basket to show my appreciation for someone who had gone out of their way to help me with a personal matter. Finally, I stumbled upon the perfect basket on Yorksville’s website excitedly, I placed an order and paid almost $200 for it. Once the recipient received the basket, I eagerly asked them for a picture of it. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment and embarrassment when I saw that the basket was completely different from what I had ordered. My jaw immediately dropped along with many tears from my eys. Instead of the elegant black and white basket I had selected, they received a haphazardly put together one filled with cookiesand other items - which the recipient doesn’t even eat. The overall presentation looked horrible , and it was far from the quality I expected for the price I paid. It was a heartbreaking experience that left me in tears. Plus the embarrassment as I felt cheap. When I reached out to Yorksville about this discrepancy, they nonchalantly mentioned that it is not uncommon for gift basket companies to substitute items or baskets based on availability. This explanation did little to appease my frustration and disappointment. This experience has soured me on ever ordering from any gift basket company again. Notices the pictures; I order the basket with the beautiful black and white uniformed items in it.

Yorkvilles.com is a scam. Spent a substantial amount on what was supposed to be a luxury gift basket for a corporate gift. I was appalled at the items received and embarrassed. The company hid behind their substitution policy (although when ordering on the site -- the basket showed as 'in stock'). Items received were completely different than advertised -- looked like junk I could find at my local Dollar Store. Customer Service was dismal - a zero would be an appropriate rating. How is a company this bad still in business?

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! They will use their substitution policy to screw you over. We sent 8 gifts to executives for a virtual celebration and what was pictures vs what was received was horrendous! I get a substitution for oranges for a pear or popcorn for brittle, but the substitutions we received looked like someone went to Dollar General and created the baskets. I've included a picture of what we thought we purchased and what we received along with the email from their customer service using their policy for a scapegoat to an appalling order. These baskets were $100 each for shipping and what we received probably cost $30 (and that's a generous assumption). You are better off buying the items and shipping them yourself!
