I decided to buy this cutting board after having already purchased some beautiful knives from Cutting Edge already. It was definitely the right move, you get the good Juju using handmade Japanese knives on a Japanese cutting board. I opted to get the large board. It's an odd shape is as much as it's very long and thin. I think it measures 600x300 or something. I decided to cut it down. Incase you were wondering, the rubber/wood material from which this board is made, actuallycuts very nicely, I cut it with a saw first, then trimmed it with a router. Now I have a large board and a small board. So it turned out to also be very good value for money! These boards have a lovely tactile feel to them that you need to try, nothing online can describe it, it's like a cross between a rubber diving brick and MDF. The sound of the cut is very satisfying also. I'm sure these will last me a lifetime. I'm not concerned in the slightest about staining. They do stain a little, but I like the character that it gives the board. These are obviously expensive boards, but well worth it if you like the aesthetic and you can justify the cost.
