I've used Bactrack for about a month now. I'm using the alcohol monitoring to help keep me accountable after recently seeking treatment for alcohol abuse. I have someone trusted set up as my accountability partner through the app. They receive notifications for any successful, failed or missed tests I have, and I can change/customize their notifications in the app. I chose to have my person set up as "accountability partner" instead of "monitor" because I wanted control of what my testing schedule is. I only test once a day at the same time, but you can set up multiple schedules or have the app request tests randomly if you need. The app takes a photo of you during the breathalyze test, but it doesn't get sent to my partner, just the result. I think you can change that in the app settings. I can see all of my testing history if I need to review any results. The actual Bactrack device has been very accurate so far, no false positives.
I only wish the app was compatible with Android because I had to purchase an Apple device in order to use the alcohol monitoring. I decided to use Bactrack in place of SoberLink because this is more cost effective. I'm planning to continue my subscription as this is part of the treatment plan I've set up, now that I am not being monitored in an outpatient program.
