I am a PA specializing in cardiology. I’m still working out how to use this. I paired it with my Littmann master cardiologist stethoscope. It amplifies quite well. I find that noise from the patient diaphragm interface is amplified as well as the signal of interest. It would be nice if it was possible to roll of high, or low, or both frequency extremes to tune into what you need to hear. I’m experimenting with the volume control. Breath sounds are tricky when amplified and I seem to not get all the nuances of chest auscultation I’m used to from an un-amplified signal. Patients can make a lot of vocalizations during a chest exam and unfortunately these noises get boosted to. It’s an interesting device that is, for me, a work in progress.
