My clothes come out cleaner than other laundry soaps I’ve used and it took a stain out of my bed sheets that hasn’t come out with any other! “This has been the best purchase, it is just so amazing, I use it all the time, and have barely made it through one bag - whilst using it for over a year !! It is just so cost efficient, and good for the environment! I think I am so conditioned to think 'fragrance' = clean, but I think this has taught me that that is not true! however if you still want the clothes to smell fragrant, I suggest using the essential oils with it too!! ah man, such a good product!”
“Wasn't a 100% sold on these at first for our clothes as I was so used to strongly fragranced detergents/fabric softeners (my mother loves highly fragrance products). I had not long left home and dived into a low waste lifestyle so it was more getting used to the lack of 'pretty' smells (they smelt a little vinegar'y). I was a little back and forth, particularly for my partners heavily soiled work clothes (doesn't cut it for clothes an infantry soldier has worn out field for 2-3 weeks straight with no showers). However since having a child and using MCN's that require hot washing, they work great. I use 5 in a bag along with half a dose of a soaker product as recommended for the prewash; and for the main wash the soapberry bag again with a full dose of soaker along with a small amount of eco-friendly powder detergent from the supermarket. So not using them alone however all the guides for MCN's say if using eco-friendly detergents to double the dose for effective cleaning. I would feel very comfortable using these on my childs clothes alone. It's cut down the waste and cost of doing so many loads. Even if you don't use them 100% of the time, it's a great laundry option for light to moderately soiled clothes or someone who requires a sensitive washer. In addition if you save the berries after using them the recommended five times and boil them, you can get a little more soap from them which works well as a pre-soak (I do this with several just to strengthen the resulting solution). More bang for your buck !”
