“First time using a natural dye and had no expectations but this actually works! I have brown hair (no greys) and wanted to try a darker colour, it said to leave for 2 hours but I only left for 45 mins and the colour was intense and exactly blue black. I would put aside a good morning/afternoon so that it's not stressful and maybe purchase a brush/hair clips for a proper application as I struggled a little bit without the equipment. There was a little bit of a green hue to the colour and stiffness at first but after two washes, it has gone and my hair is soooo soft and healthy! Not a huge fan of the smell but it's inoffensive and herbal. Would definitely recommend this dye.”

Although it didn't 100% cover the grey roots like the commercial hair dye, it somehow gives this gradient shade that actually made the grey looks less contrast to my natural dark brown hair. “I briefly considered letting ageing take its course and going grey or white, but now I don't have to! This dye gives a very natural colour and is inexpensive and gentle. I use only half a pkg (weigh out the amounts to be precise), mix up Step 1 the night before and I use strong coffee in place of water, also add about a Tbsp of molasses in final mix to hold everything together. Leave 4 hours. Another tip I read about recently - if you want to do a strand test to test colour, use the hair out of your hairbrush rather than applying directly to your head!”
