The keyhole is slightly off-centre in relation to its surrounding shroud and is up against the surrounding shroud. I took the lock back and checked others in stock and the same apparent fault was noticed.
This means that the key must be forced in at an angle past the shroud and into the lock.
This increases the chance of the key breaking and the owner left holding the key handle with the rest of the key hidden in the lock. A bit of a problem if you have locked the bike to something as it then can't be unlocked.”
