Its a bit stiff when you first sit on it, but softens after a couple hours of enjoying it.
I like the idea to pull it apart. Will ask for a two extra feet to do that. Very adjustable. No more huge couches to move thru hallway and up and down the stairs.

“I love the look of the sofa and it is pretty comfortable. I gave 4 stars bc during the assembly process I was frustrated with how the back cushions were not laying down properly. Customer service was very responsive about giving me instructions on how I might correct it and at this point, they look fine. I was surprised that the back cushions are not separate, but part of the back assembly. Perhaps I missed something in the description , and if so that is my fault. That is one thing I don’t love, but overall the sofa looks great. Fabric is much nicer than I expected.”
